My annual visit to Shakesby's was, as always, as good as expected. I visited on Christmas Eve evening with family and friends for a friends birthday meal. I was greeted by the staff as if I had never been away. The food, presentation and service were exemplary as always. I returned again on Christmas Day for lunch. This restaurant never... More

We took our 6 year old grandchild and they were very welcoming, ( I would say it not the usual place to take children). The steaks were perfect the starters were delicious and it wasn't pricey either, lovely service thank you

We had Christmas lunch at Shakesby's this year. The food was grand (beef Wellington for me, traditional turkey with trimmings for my wife) and the staff were exemplary in every respect, and so warm and welcoming. Judging from the happy buzz, I'm sure all the other diners will join me in saying 'Thank-you Shkesby's, for making our Christms Day!'

We are staying in Lincolnshire for Christmas and booked Shakesby's for Christmas Day lunch, the whole experience was brilliant from the initial phone call to book. Food was superb, service very prompt and attentive. We were made to feel very welcome by very friendly staff. The restaurant was full but everything went like clockwork, very impressed. Good value for money, will... More

I have no faults with my visit to Shakesby's. I have heard a lot of good reviews about this place and was recommended this place by many friends. Service was fast and we didn't didn't have to wait long for food. We had a 3 course meal and the food was cooked to perfection and I was so full I... More

My family are all farmers and as such we know and like really good food. Shakesby's gets this right time and time again. The food is always fabulous and clearly very well sourced. We always struggle to find somewhere with top quality food that makes children welcome. Not only do they make them welcome the owner also makes the most... More

Tried Shakesby's for the first time going for the Beat the Clock menu at 9-95 for two courses which is between 5 and 6-30, although you have to order before 6-15. It is probably best to book as it was quite busy especially for a Thursday. The starters were good although the garlic slices don't add up to much especially... More

Thank you for your very good review of my restaurant. I will address each issue you have raised. Both the pate and garlic bread are popular starters and we sell many. People order garlic bread because that is what they want. I'm unsure as to what I could add to it to make it better. It is what it is... More

Lovely food and great service. Thank you Melissa and Reiss. Wine went down well, Reiss's quiff was bigger than Dr J's :) xx

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food in Lincolnshire! The restaurant has a cosy feel and very attentive staff. We would have ordered everything on the menu if it were possible as every dish looked just as appetising. After our table had finally decided what we were going for I can tell you that no... More

So, having booked over one month prior to our Saturday evening visit, I was initially disappointed with our somewhat cramped table. First on the left as we entered, it felt as if a shoehorn was required, couple that with the likelihood of a soup-wearing experience... we were sandwiched in the main flow of traffic from the kitchen. The party arrived... More
