We ordered take away for a family meal. We used the Food Hub app because we had been given a 20% discount flyer last time we ordered. There was no way to claim the 20% discount, unfortunately.
The food was ready almost immediately when we arrived and called to say we were there. The chap came out and read off what was on the order, with the Mixed Tandoori grill being the first thing he said.
We arrived home, a journey of about 10 minutes. We unpacked the boxes only to find several bits missing in including the mixed grill, which was my wife's main meal choice. There was no sauce or salad with the bhajis either. I rang to check but was given a choice of returning fo the missing meal, by which time the rest of the food would be cold and uneatable, or an offer of a discount next time we order. It was catch 22, My wife had to prepare something different. There is no way of knowing who we are and being able to access the promised discount if we did order again.
It was disappointing, as the food was good if a little cold by the time we got to eat it.

Excellent Indian food at a very reasonable lunch price. This is a new venture opening between 10.30 and 4.00pm and deserves to do well. The bread, starter and main dish comes on one plate. There is a large choice of Indian food plus English breakfast, sandwiches etc. Don’t like too hot or spicy mention it as you order and any Indian dish will be adjusted accordingly. We were pleased that we tried the lunch and will certainly visited again.

I could not believe how busy this restaurant was on a Wednesday Evening (every table was occupied so this told its own story).
I have been a Curry lover for approaching 60 years so in my time I have consumed a fair amount and visited a variety of eating houses throughout the country so I think I can unreservedly say "I know a good curry when I eat one". I have several personal tests when I visit a new Restaurant and I can honestly state that the Miller's Restaurant passed all 3 with flying colours.
The Staff were helpful, and their service was 1st class. As I was the Designated Driver I could only drool as my friends quaffed their Birra Moretti and I had my glass of Tap Water (which had been thoughtfully iced).
Whilst my friends went for the customary Poppadoms and Pickle I went for a dish of 'Hot Mix Starter' which was absolutely delicious, tasty and hot (next time I will ask if they can do this as a Main Dish).
For a main I had a 'South Indian Chill Garlic, instead of having rice to accompany it I plumped for a Paratha instead, the dish was exceptional, the Chicken was obviously Tandooried (the tell tale skewer holes were there) and the sauce was extremely tasty.
I had a Bindi Bhaji (Okra) as a side dish and this was also excellent.
All in all a memorable meal, great service, good atmosphere, and exceptional food. The owner (Mr Shirezul I believe) who had done all the cooking this night came over to our table at the end of the night and asked if we enjoyed our meal and offered us a complimentary drink.
A big thank you to Mr Shirezul and his staff for making this a memorable experience that we all enjoyed.

We ordered a takeaway as was on holiday in a lodge nearby and this was down as reccomendation.
Me and my boyfriend love a curry but when tasting they was the most bland currys we have ever had. Mine tasted like tomato soup with chicken peices in. My boyfriend ordered a peswani naan and it had no almomds or raisins but was covered in yellow dust. I ordered a garlic naan but could not taste any garlic. We are foodies and not ones to complain but felt i needed to write a review as wish i would of just bought chicken and a jar from local asda which would of tasted 100% better. Was £22 for 2 currys and naans which was reasonable but was not worth it at all and i chose to have beans on toast instead. VERY disappointed as couldnt wait for it to come to :(.... 1 star for the prompt delivery but otherwise a big NO go from us.

Thank you for your time to leave your review about our takeaway service and food.
You ordered 2 mild dishes and I really don’t know why would you say our food was bland? We deliver there every night plus other areas and never heard that before to expect mossalla to be spicy. Peshwari nan was not consist of yellow dust. It was a mixture of cream. Coconut. And fruits we use in the peshwari nan. We have used garlic in the garlic nan. You paid for what we delivered and we told you on the phone how much it was and you agreed. If you are used to Asda curries, you should stick to those. You will save money that way too and the trouble of writing reviews. Hope you enjoyed your beans on toast. Have wonderful stay in Grimsby fro the whole team 😊

We ordered from miller's at 6:40pm and expected delivery at 8:25pm. This time arrived and yet no food came, I rang to enquire and was told approximately 15 minutes - fine. 30 minutes later there was still no sign so my partner rang back and was told it would arrive imminently. A further 15 minutes passed and still no sign so i called and asked to speak to a manager. The tone was immediately hostile. I explained the situation but the manager was extremely confrontational, he said he would refund me and cancel the order, I explained that wasn't what I wanted, I just wanted my food. He then told me that I was causing drama and I'd have to wait. I said that was a very poor attitude to have and that I'd like a 50% refund on the food given how long we'd waited. He then accused me of being a freeloader, causing drama, not understanding that he had other customers etc. I simply pointed out that I'd paid for a service he hadn't fulfilled! He then stated he'd tell the driver to bring the food back. Thankfully at this time the food arrived, my partner answered the door and I hung up after being told I'd been blacklisted. 5 minutes later the door went again - the poor driver said the manager had sent him to take the food back!
On the plus side, when it actually arrived, it was tasty, I just cannot get over the attitude of the manager!

Oh dear Miss Free Loader has taken time to write a review
There are always 2 sides to a coin and this one used 1 side!
God knows who the hell do you think you are as you didn’t mention what you said to get those reactions back?
Your first words were can I speak to the Manager, I am calling from Lambert road I been waiting a long time and I am not happy and I don’t want to pay for the meal
My reply was if you are not happy with our service, I will cancel the order and refund the payment. There is no way I am gonna let you eat my meals for free dear, I am not a charity so you will have to pay for the meals. If you can’t wait for delivery, pick it up or COOK yourself. Don’t waste peoples time from miles away. I bet you are banned from local restaurants hence you had to order from miles away
The way you spoke to me, it’s a trick you use frequently for free meals but sorry it doesn’t work with Millers. You want my food, you pay simple as. By the way we do have charity giveaways twice a year. Your address is on our banned list and I will make sure you get a free parcel !
Until than keep trying your drama in new places and you will find yourself banned from every where
Remember one thing. You get treated how you treat people. Learn a lesson from today and next time be nice to people, it doesn’t cost to treat people nicely as you didn’t like the treatment back !

This is the first review I have ever felt strongly enough to be bothered to write .
We visited this restaurant this evening because of the good reviews. I wish I’d never bothered. It was supposed to be a special evening for a very special lady as it was her 86 birthday and she loves curry. All I can say is that the food was the worst Indian food I’ve ever had. The service was totally unacceptable and very unprofessional. The waiters were rude and not bothered about customer service or customer satisfaction .what should have been a happy birthday turned out to be an embarrassing upsetting nightmare . The food was cold /bland and lacked any pride in presentation . After asking the waiter for a glass of water three times and it never appearing. I had to get up from the table and go to the bar myself to ask for a glass of water. I also had to go to the bar to ask for the bill, I was told that I would just have to wait as they were busy . I acknowledge that the restaurant restaurant was busy and they are also very busy doing takeaways, but this is no excuse for bad food and bad service within the restaurant. A glass of Coke was knocked over by the waiter as he was giving out plates, rather than concentrating on trying to stop the Coke from spilling onto my mother-in-law’s lap , He was more interested on continuing to give out the plates . I had to ask him to prioritise the spillage before continuing to give out the plates.I did raise my concerns about hygiene and the service throughout the meal and at the end of the meal but feel that they are not bothered . I did receive I an apology and discount off the bill, but to be honest, all I wanted was a decent curry and have a memorable evening for all the right reasons.
I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone

I am glad you wrote this review as I wanted to have my sayings too. You started moaning from the moment you stepped in the restaurant. Nothing was enough for you
Worst curry ? Every plate was clean and you bullied the waiters and your moaning was so bad at one stage I was close to tell you to leave as you was getting on my nerves
I am so glad I don’t have to see you again as you dampened our evening and upset my staff and had the the meal almost for free !
It takes a lot of effort to build a business and no one deliberately upsets any customers. We were busy but no one else complained apart from you as I said nothing was Good enough.
On behalf the Team it’s a GOODBYE

Tried this windmill/sweet shop/firework venue/tea room/ curry house for a nice catch up with friends for some Bhuna and Bevs - I must say, disappointing. We were, and I can’t stress this enough, ravenous. After putting in what we’d call a quite simple order for the kitchen to lovingly piece together, we found ourselves having to set up a tent, and roll out the roll mats as it appeared we would be there for the night before any sight of food.
It with no exaggeration took an hour and a half, and upon arrival the waiter clearly wanted a scrap when challenged why it had taken so long, the only tip I could give this waiter/establishment is to not be so rude and to get a new watch as it was clearly broke with his delusion it was with us in good time. Will not return unless it’s for some firework and fudge.

Thanks for your review whoever you are !
Don’t think you been to our restaurant at all.
No one has waited 90 mins for a main meal as the maximum time you stay on a table is 90 minutes.
Waiter wanted a scrap? Don’t think so. None of our staff are trained to have a scrap and if that happened I am sure you would have made a meal out of it and make an excuse not to pay.
Fire work and fudge ? You can dream on
Look at your review history and the whole team is relived we won’t have to face you again even though you never came in the first place.

Easily the best Indian restaurant in the area. Never been disappointed, the food always tastes, like the correct time to cook it has been used. A lot of other takeaways in the area, just taste rushed.
When we have eaten in the restaurant, the service is always friendly. Sometimes you wait a little bit, but it's usually so relaxing, that it doesn't matter or become noticeable

Came to Millers with high expectations, and boy did it not disappoint.
From the outside it looks like a quaint little restaurant. There’s a windmill just behind it which isn’t what you usually expect. But once you’re through the doors you’re greeted by some lovely waiters. The restaurant is modern in its decor, with mood lights and nice light fixtures. The bar is well stocked with ever spirit you could want and cobra on tap.
The four of us had arrived a little early and took a seat in the lounge, drinks were brought to us as we browsed the menu and the table was being readied. We were taken to the table just before our reserved time. Fresh poppadoms and chutney trays to start as our order was taken. I had the lamb Shiraz with garlic rice and a cheese naan. I think we also had a chicken tikka biriyani, South Indian chilli and garlic chicken and a chicken dansak as well as some other side dishes.
The food was beyond belief. The specials were amazing, the lamb Shiraz was beautifully cooked, tender and juicy. Nice level of spice. The forkful of dansak was amazing, and I was very jealous of my friends biriyani. But the star of the show in my opus was the South Indian chilli garlic dish. I could eat that every day.
Shiraz and his team were wonderful. Never hovered around but always made sure our glasses were full. Draught cobra was helped reign in all the spices.
Shiraz treated us to a drink in the house at the end of the meal which just about went down after filling our bellies with the beautiful food.
I noticed a lot of cakes coming out with sparklers which was a nice touch, will definitely be coming back on my birthday, although I’m not sure I’ll have room for cake!
Thank you Shiraz and co for a wonderful evening and I hope to be back soon

Service was extremely slow from ordering to arrival it took just over a hour. Staff were pleasant, food was very nice and enjoyable. It was reasonably priced. I would visit again providing I had nothing else to do that evening, if service was quicker I would visit on a more regular basis.

Firstly i do not go out of my way to write bad reviews, i consider i am fair and truth full and give praise where due ..My wife wanted to take me for a meal, my choice i chose Millers because i love indian food and it has a good reputation . We arrived at seven thirty we were promptly shown to our table and we had a drink within a few minutes the place was packed always a good sign .However the staff were under immense pressure and could not cope with the amount of customers, . we waited 50 minutes in which time we were ignored i said to my wife if someone doesnt take our order in the next 10 minutes im walking out , so she managed to flag down a member of staff who took our order she should not have had to do this .Our poppadums arrived about 10 minutes later ,they were soft and not good but we ate them because we were hungry ,i ordered lamb biriyani for my main the rice should be the star of the show it was fried rice with a few peas and lamb thrown in i had to add salt has it had been poorly seasoned .I was raised in Bradford and have been eating indian food for 45 years i can honestly say this is the worst indian meal i have had in that time .No doubt the chef /manager will give his usual if you dont like it lump it response has he has done on previous poor reviews but hey the truth hurts . The complimentory drink was a nice touch and my wife liked her main so i gave 2 stars which in my opinion is fair on a different night it may have been better but we will never know because we wont be going again .

First time in Grimsby and it was mine and my partner’s anniversary. Relied on local recommendation for a good spot to celebrate. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about eating at an Indian restaurant. I wanted to celebrate my evening marking a special day with my other half. Boy was I blown away!
I had high expectations and was expecting some good authentic cuisine and that’s exactly what I got.
The food was amazing, the flavours, the spices even the portions. I was taken aback to how well everything was made to absolute perfection!
There was a perfect balance between quality and quantity, you can tell that the team at Millers are passionate about the food they present to their customers. I have been to places that seat, feed and push you out the door.
This was a very different experience. The time effort and attention from the staff was absolutely wonderful.
My partner had only mentioned that it was our anniversary to the wonderful waiter who was tending to us and he picked up on this. By our surprise the team bought out a cake when neither of us asked for this service which is very rare nowadays.
Being from a city in the south, I have become used to cold, quick, yet expensive service. This warm, inviting and delicious experience has changed everything.
Thank you Sheraz and the team for looking after us. We couldn’t of asked for a better dinner.
