The food itself was very good, as were the drinks and ambience, but the service let them down. Pity, as otherwise it would have been 4/5 stars.

Really excited about going here again as here were the best chips I'd ever ever had and they were consistently good ...... no longer. They were ok but not gnarled, crispy at the edges and cooked to perfection and certainly not worth another trip. What has happened to this place? Was suspicious when only three cars outside on a Saturday... More

It's strange to see the mix of reviews for this pub, we called for a meal Friday lunchtime, it was great, a sharing platter of nibbles to start, fish pie and hake for main, all fresh and excellent. Service great, it was quite busy but not full, good atmosphere, with a huge roaring fire - we would happily call again

Went in for dinner last night, The starters were both great. I ordered a medium/rare ribeye for my main and this arrived well done. It was taken away and I then received the next one raw. My girlfriend had to work at 7 and by this point it was already 6.40 and she had finished her main. We made the... More

Been here many times with family and loved it however the last time we went the service was pretty poor. Staff seemed new and inexperienced. They forgot yo bring fresh cutlery and when we order pancakes with lemon and sugar they didn't bring any sugar which usually comes in a proper dispenser. Took ages to get hold of someone then... Poor chaotic service, one of the worst steaks I ever had. The restaurant is far off what the website describes.

Came here after walking dogs. The food was really nice but the service was slow and considering it was that busy it was a shame. Other than that it was a good visit

Visited the Three Fishes this afternoon after a day around the Rubble Valley From the moment we got through the door, to the moment we left over 2 hours later, the food, hospitality and overall experience were exceptional The food alone was absolutely superb and we will 100% be going back despite living over 20 miles away ; well worth...
