We went mid afternoon for a late lunch and thouroughly enjoyed our visit. The food was lovely and the staff welcoming and attentive as always. Both assistant manager Luke and waitress Meg went the extra mile to make our visit a pleasant one. Thanks!

We have had quite a few meals at The Ram Inn in the past and have always enjoyed the experience. However our visit on Easter Sunday may be our last. We booked for 4 and chose to go for the traditional Sunday lunch. Having previously been delighted with this choice something has changed dramatically. The hand carved beef was anything... More

We popped in to the Ram on Saturday lunch whilst having a drive out. We've often thought it looked nice. I ordered a crab and prawn loaf and my partner ordered a ploughmans loaf with pickle. The ploughmans came with no pickle and the bread was so hard it couldn't be eaten. We sent it back. My crab loaf didn't... More

Called in for a pub lunch when passing. The pub itself is bright and welcoming with good real ale on draught but the food was unimpressive.

Just been to the Ram for tea with my wife and 2 children. We have been a number of times previously and always been impressed. We ordered our meals and had to send one back (slow cooked beef and double gloucester pie). Called over the first member of staff we saw (who we later found to be the manager) and... More

Just had a fabulous meal at the Ram Inn they've changed their menu recently and I like the fact that you can have mini desserts - you get the delicious tastes but don't feel over full after the wonderful main course. It's nice to see that there's a superfood salad which you can have with halloumi or chicken and with... More

Firstly let me start by saying that I only ever review things on trip advisor if something is exceptionally good and deserves praise or if something is so terrible that other diners need to be aware of the venue to which they are considering dining at! So. Here's my review of this appalling establishment! We decided to book here for... More

Visited for lunch on Maundy Thursday. I ordered the ale battered cod fillets on focaccia bread. My 'lunch' arrived and was a 2 inch slither of bread with just one small fillet of battered fish. Scattered onto the plate next to it were a few green leaves, no dressing or other salad, and no lemon wedge or crispy cos lettuce... More

Booked a family meal for Sunday evening. Arrived on time and was seated ok. Ordered starters but one was missed, had to ask for the last starter. Ordered the mains but was told they had run out of roast potatoes and pork loins. We agreed a slight change to the orders and were served a short while later. When the... More
