Tuesday nights are fish & chips for a fiver. Very good value for a nice portion with mushy peas. We go as a group of about 14 once every 6 weeks or so & always have a good night. Pot luck as to whether there is a band on at the same time but worth a visit.

Booked a table by a window for Sunday lunch. Was feeling slightly dubious due to some of the previous reviews, but can honestly say the Sunday lunch was superb. The restaurant itself was lovely to sit in, our table overlooked the sea. We had the garlic and thyme chicken for two, which was a whole chicken carved at our table,... More

Beautifully located on the famous Whitstable sea front, plenty of drinking options and offer a range of traditional english pub grub meals. I had ordered the Sunday Roast Pork it was nice but the veg was not freshly prepared and tasted like it had been sitting in the kitchen all day. Graves was too watery and the potatoes were undercooked... More

We visited on 29th December in the evening and had good food but the downstairs restaurant area was very cold. We mentioned the temperature to the waitress and a man (possibly the manager) did come down and fiddled with a radiator but I think they had turned the heating off so it didn't get any warmer and we ended up... Family lunch which was a rarity and although the waiting staff were very attentive and diplomatic, the food was disappointing. Sent back the risotto that was a thick, tasteless lump of rice. This was returned after cream had been added. Shameful and at the price asked, any chef worth their weight would be mortified. He also produced Dauphinoise potatoes that... More

Everything about this place from the helpful staff to the food being served was top quality. The drinks are not cheap but are very good and the waiter's wine choice for my main course was exceptional (stone bass and picpoul). Service attentive and efficient and everything about the place including the sea view was brilliant.

Really great friendly staff and good quality food but at the prices charged one would at least expect vegetables to be served with a main course. Good wine list and great choices on the menu. Ulitamately though the Pearsons (which we have been using for 40 years or more in its various guises ) is ultimately still a pub serving... More

Had paid £68 per head for our family to visit on Christmas Day. From previous comments on TripAdvisor had expected the best!! The whole experience was pretty awful-Consomme to start was an acquired taste but OK--1st course of Smoked Pigeon Breast was very nice---but then along came the main course of undercooked (indeed partly raw) turkey, undercooked veg but nice... Very disappointed! The food was poor, Roast potatoes not cooked, Macaroni cheese had to be sent back as it was cold. The desert must have been left standing as it had melted by the time we got it, we had to ask the waiter twice to get it!
