Went on a Thursday at 6.30pm so wasn't too busy. I personally love the walking "up & down" the stairs to get around the restaurant, but I guess that won't suit everyone. It's olde-worldy and seems like a labyrinth, which gives it a unique look & atmosphere to most other restaurants. There was 4 of us and we got served... More
Had a great time excellent service and food always made welcome, and had plenty of room to accommodate our six month old grandson
I booked lunch here on Easter Sunday, thought it would be okay. To be honest it was better than okay. Two starters and two mains (roast beef and roast chicken) plus drinks for £35. Food was better than I have had at other Pubs in this chain. Our waitress (Laura) was also very polite and cheerful.
Arrived around midday and was told they couldn't take walk no as there were only two waitresses and they were fully booked. Not a problem. Then we were approached and told that of course we could have a table....strange!! I wish now I hadn't bothered. Food was not good. I had the steak pudding with hint of cheddar. The steak... More
We stayed at the adjacent Premier Inn. This restaurant is quite large, with a first class manager with friendly staff, serving good food. This is a great restaurant and staff all very attentive. I booked a table on line which was very easy. This was for a large group for a special occasion and they even decorated the table with balloons. The menu has a good variety and very reasonably priced
My son and I were staying in the Premier Inn attached so experienced both breakfast and the main meal aspects. It was busy at the weekend, as can be expected but the service was good and the food just as nice. The breakfasts were good too, if not a little expensive for two people. I would definitely use this place... More
I was staying in the Premier Inn next door and was looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat. Beefeater is not really a place that I tend to visit and I had fairly low expectations. My starter of chicken wings were ok and had sufficient enough meat on them. The Piri Piri dipping sauce tasted similar to... More
Thank God for Tripadvisor that's what I say !!
You didn't miss much by not booking, the place is a dirty dump and the food is rubbish.
The restaurant staff cannot even bother to reply to the complaints.
Vote with your feet and avoid this terrible place like the plague.
