This place used to have racks of cask beer and was cosy and quaint, now it is dominated by Brewdog beers, which I am a fan of, but they seem a little out of place here... don't think the Saturday DJ scenario works either.

Popped in as had half an hour to spare before our table was ready in a restaurant nearby. Hadn't been before, so can't comment on the negative views from others on here, but I quite liked it. Could have imagined getting comfortable if we hadn't...More

A tiny bar with an interesting selection of drinks. Beware the cider. It's very nice but lethal! Evening somewhat spoilt by drunks at the large pub opposite which offers very cheap beer.

Been several times, also to its sister place in Broadstairs... this could be the last visit to the Lifeboat... bar person was a bit 'out of it'... few people in but dirty glasses and ashtrays on tables outside, one of our drinks should've been a...More

Since I originally visited The Lifeboat, they've unfortunately made some changes, totally reworking to place for the worst. The barrels no longer sit in the main bar and the interior has been stripped of any charm with tacky cheap bar stools and plastic pricing boards...More

Well in have been popping into this lovely pub for a few years. Lovely beers and amazing crfat beers but the price of the food is shocking. £8.00 for microwaved pie and mash. Up to £16.00 for crab that can be bought for £5.00- 7.00...More

Came in here for one drink and stayed for several! Once the music started up, there seemed little reason to go elsewhere, so we settled into our corner for the night. Reallly good selection of "different" ciders and beers - if you're not sure what...More

I'm pretty sure they are very relaxed as far as bringing your dog into the bar providing it's not the size of a St. Bernard as the bar is quite small
