Stayed in the Hush Heath room. The room is open plan ie no separate room for the shower, bath and loo. It is fine having a bath/shower in your room but having a loo in your bedroom is an ABSOLUTE NO-NO. Nobody wants to be...in the same room as their other half doing their number twos. The room overlooked two roads so was noisy. Very friendly staff.More

We had been looking forward to Sunday lunch here. We have visited different restaurants and pubs for our lunch every Sunday for the last six months. This was by far the worst. Too much salt in the gravy which drowned our dinner before it was...served. Do chefs not realize that too much salt can cause heart attacks in people with high blood pressure or existing heart problems. We left a lot of our meals as a result. A lot of food was being wasted at other tables and we witnessed deserts being sent back where one waitress commented that the desert had been left to long in the microwave! We had assumed everything was cooked or served fresh and not reheated in this way. An expensive experience that left a bad taste in our mouths. We would not recommend or visit again.More

Great choice of food on the menu - both our meals were delicious! Nice to be able to sample the different wines and great service from the lovely Nicky! Faultless! We’ll be back

I stayed one night and had a very pleasant, comfortable room. Food was good, had a delicious pizza and a nice breakfast. What stood out though, was the staff. They were so friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended.

We had booked a table for eight for Sunday Lunch. The young staff were friendly and helpful and took our orders fairly quickly despite it being really busy with some large groups. The selection of wines was very good and reasonably priced. The house India...Pale Ale was excellent. Despite the busy pub the food came reasonably quickly and altogether. It was excellent. We had the fish and chips and Sunday lunches with one plate of the sea bass. All excellent quality and reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommend and would return when in the area again.More

We had 2 good meals here including one on Monday and took advantage of the pizza and wine offer which is excellent value. As a coeliac, I can also say that the gluten free pizza was one of the best I've had ever. The food...we had on our other visit was equally good. It got a thumbs up from 3 children under 12 as well as from my wife and I.More

Lovely pub, modern decor and nice outdoor space, extra parking a bonus in a near by school. Rubbish and unfriendly welcome, long wait for drinks and to place order unhelpful staff. Shame as lovely pub and food was actually really tasty!

Visited with family and friends. Great service and beautiful food. I recommend the pepperoni or lamb pizza but others in the group equally enjoyed the burgers and steak. Will return at some point.

I called the day before to see if they offered any vegan options (as the menu showed none) and I was told they have just launched a new menu with plenty of vegan options on it - so I booked a table for 8 (4...of whom eat a vegan diet). How disappointing to then only see 2 mains available - a yeasted cauliflower and a poached pair! Neither of which were actually indicated as vegan. Surely it's not that difficult to get some vegan cheese and offer vegan versions of their pizzas or even offer a vegan burger? I ended up ordering a pizza without cheese (got a strange look from the server) and it was very tasty - loved the base. These guys really need to keep up with customers' needs and changing eating habits. Admittedly not as bad as an expensive place near by that explicitly states they don't offer vegetarian or vegan dishes!! I don't know what century those guys are living in!More

I would certainly give them another chance, did you mention your frustrations, I am sure they will more than make up for it next time? We too can only speak as we find and we had a thoroughly nice experience there!
