Visited for Sunday Lunch but had to eat in the bar. Big mistake! it really is dusty and dirty, not nice to eat. The food was not hot, very average to poor. Take care with the wine less expensive is rubbish. Service was by young...people who really did not know the menu.We were served by four different people. This was once a good restaurant, pity . Obviously won't return.More

We went for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we could not have had a better meal. Our welcome was extremely friendly and we were quickly shown to our table. Our drinks order was taken promptly and served without any delay. Our food was...well presented and very tasty. We both ordered steak and, although mine was cooked exactly as I wanted, my wife's was not quite as she wanted. This did not cause any problem and, withing minutes, it was exactly as she wanted. Well done a perfect way to celebrate our anniversary.More

Service was absolutely appalling, only about 7 tables eating but plates were left on tables after guests had finished for over an hour, no one checked food was ok, don’t charge gastrointestinal prices if you can’t provide the service

Love this cosy pub. Haven’t been here for years but it still has the same charm, great service and good food. Had the venison which was cooked very well then cheese and Gigondas. All lovely. The only thing I’d say is that the dinning room...very warm and had to ask fir doors to be open. Will go again.More

Having been the one truly consistent, if not overly exciting, restaurant in the area, the Three Chimneys is slipping. First course of pigeon was tough and cold. Plates were not warm and we noted that all the other diners were served with cold plates. We...asked for the next course to have warm plates, which they duly were and that improved the experience. Service is cheerful but not expert or that attentive. The overall impression is that there isn’t a guiding hand on the tiller.More

Went there for a 2 night stay Monday Tuesday, really good. Hadnt been there for a long time and wasnt disappointed. Super friendly welcome, great room with a huge comfortable bed in the separate annexe. Enormous shower. Soundproof room!! Food excellent, great wine and cider,...and breakfast a total blow out. Thank you Stuart for being so friendly, welcoming, informative and funny. We loved it. Will be back with many chums in the future. Looking forward to the smokery...More

I have eaten at the restaurant several times for an evening meal but went there this last Sunday to try out the roast. Avoid at all cost, we sat down to eat at 2:30 and the meal given to me looked and tasted as though...it was all cooked early morning and warmed up before being served. The roast potatoes and yorkshire pud were particularly bad. I told the waitress who changed the roast potatoes which were not much better. In fairness, the food that the others ate (not Sunday roast) was good so my advice to the restaurant is that they should not offer a sunday roast if they cannot make it at the same quality as the other food. At £19 its certainly not the cheapest roast.More

A very good selection on the menu. The service and food was excellent. Lots of history to this pub. Enjoyed our evening dinner and reasonably priced.

When we visited (a Monday lunchtime) there were people seated and eating outside and at least three had dogs with them. Didn't see any dogs inside.
