I visited here as a party of 6, having already reserved a table. When we arrived the restaurant was not busy. However, the staff all seemed really young and clueless to any bookings. We were shown to a table which was 'sticky' with a lot of dirty cutlery. You had to go to the bar and order and pay for... More

Food was great, lovely meat and perfect roast pots and parsnips! The cauliflower cheese was also outstanding! All veg was cooked perfectly too! Impressive for a carvery! The desserts were massive and the cheesecake was outstanding! My only comment would be they had lots of staff and it was quiet so they could have offered table served for the orders... More

Normally a go to place for me and my partner however after today we may have to rethink. Carvery was absolutely fine as it usually is on sundays, this is the main reason we visit. However, we have a 6 month old son who likes to be nosey so we used one of the high chairs available, old food on... More

I went with family one afternoon for lunch. We ordered a few sandwiches and a couple of salads. The food was stale, the meat was warm and looked as if it had been sat outside for a day and the cheese was full of dust and hairs. When the bill came to £50 I was absolutely in shock. I don't... More

Have visited and enjoyed Sunday carvery at the Ponda Rosa many times in the past. This time however the experience was poor to say the least. At 2pm the food was dry, lukewarm, sad looking and not being replenished promptly. Service was awful. Plates were not cleared before dessert was brought (eventually). No atmosphere and the usually busy dining room... More

Arrived at our holiday place near here walked down to get evening meal after long journey to find place in darkness notice on door said due to kitchen work only open on Sundays. Why would you visit on a Sunday if they are having works done and unable to open at other times?

What a lovely cavery restaurant, there was four different meats all beautifully cooked, hot potatoes and vegetables, and a selection of sauces and gravies. The only thing that put me off was not a great selection of desserts, and the staff were to trying

Have visited Ponda Rosa on many occasions but this was the first time since it had a change of management (and most of the staff). The carvery was always the highlight of any visit on a Sunday but this time I was not so happy when I left. I found the whole experience a bit flat. The choice of vegetables... More
