I have visited the Greyhound on a couple of occasions now with my dad, four children and my dog. We have always received a very warm welcome and the food has been excellent. One of my daughters has recently become vegan and the staff and chef were extremely helpful. The children love to play in the park before and after... More

Did a group walk from the pub and then stayed for lunch for 11 people. All had main courses and half had dessert. We had to order mains in advance but this is not really a problem. Everyone enjoyed their meal, whether meat or fish, and service was excellent. Desserts were also good with my chocolate brownie being excellent.

On a cold and wintry evening the Greyhound Inn provided a cosy, comfortable and welcoming night out. Our first visit, based largely on Trip Advisor reviews, and we were delighted with our choice. Our starters of smoked salmon and prawns plus the butternut squash soup special were hearty and fresh. From the mains the stand out dish was undoubtedly the... More

I have eating at the Greyhound at Lunchtime and Evening Dinner on several occasions and the food is excellent. Good service, man sized portions all at prices that won't break your bank account. You really do need to book a reservation it is the only pub restaurant that I know that puts a notice on its door to inform casual... More

As always, friendly staff, great atmosphere and delightful menu. Food cooked perfectly and served hot. Service is at a comfortable pace and as diners we never feel rushed. To avoid disappointment, booking is advised, particularly Friday and Saturday evenings. A great evening and we will visit again soon.

First time at The Greyhound. Had the Roast Beef.....didn't want to finish the last mouthful. Beef was beautifully cooked. Beautiful cauliflower cheese. The puddings were also excellent and service very good. Will be back.

We ordered the homemade pie. Amazing is an understatement. It was made with shortcrust bottom and a puff pastry top. Meat was melt in the mouth. It came with creamy lump free mash and vegetables on the side. Mum had the sausages, bigger than her fingers! Thank you everyone at the Greyhound, we are now regular visitors when we visit... More

A dozen of us picked our lunch choices beforehand and were rewarded with quick service and attractive food. There were good reports from all around the table of everything from sandwiches to fish and chips.

My wife and I belong to a group of eight which meets for lunch every two months at a different venue around Tring. The Greyhound is a very smart pub/restaurant serving traditional food at reasonable prices. There is a very friendly atmosphere with excellent service. Unlike some premises we were not made to feel unwelcome by staying on chatting long... More

Came off route a little on the search for linch and a pint and was not disappointed. Fantastic menu that unfortunately with at least 6 miles left to walk we were not able to take advantage of however the fish pie on the table next to us looked amazing. We settled for baguettes. Rare Beef and horseradish would have fed... More
