Not as good as on previous visit. Soup was lovely, main course very average and tasted as if it has been cooked early and kept warm. Had run out of tartare sauce. Some dishes not quite as described. Restaurant cold as boiler broken down but...More

Hello there, Thank you for your comments. I'm very sorry about the tartare sauce, due to the bad weather the capers were not delivered. As for your food, every dish is freshly prepared to order. If you had brought this complaint to my attention when...More

We came here with a very large group. Service was perfect and the food excellent - amazing that pork belly was crisp when serving so many! I gather the cook is leaving in January and the pub is now under new management. See what happens...More

The food was excellent, the burger was not too greasy with decent amount of meat inside. The chips were really impressive in their quality. The meal sizes felt generous. The service was quick even though there were a fair number at the tables. It is...More

Ok pub/restaurant. Has a small playground for the kids at the back. Parking also available for cars. I found the food a bit pricey for the quality - average place.More

Thank you for the feedback. The review you have left does not accurately reflect the quality of food and service that we offer. £13 for a large Sunday roast is not pricey unless you would prefer sacrificing what you can offer a guest. Looking at...More

The roast itself was good. The potatoes not quite as good. The venue is a pub with good seating and service. It does seem a little more expensive than comparable restaurants, that does make us think twice about returning.More

Food ok but nothing special. Fish pie was especially bland with no real flavour or smoked fish. Scallops chewy and liver was more like a soup with a watercress garnish. Staff were friendly and helpful.More

I guess this is a question that can only be answered by the landlady. By the way, interpreting someone's facial expression is highly subjective and fraught with difficulties. What is a "dirty look"?
