Been to The Grove many times but first time in Collette's had heard a lot about it from friends and clients so was looking forward to the experience. None of the waiting staff know how to pour a glass of champagne it would seem. Couldn't fault the food though not enough if you have a big appetite. For a restaurant... More

My wife and I had dinner here while we stayed at the resort over a weekend with the family. We enjoyed the food, but courses lacked creativity and the service was lacking. Overall, we were disappointed and preferred our casual meals at the other more casual restaurants on the property.

Booked this restaurant for a special occasion. Special offer on for the market menus at £29.50 per head until 31st October. After receiving confirmation of the booking I was contacted to say that we couldn't have that offer this evening & we could only dine at twice the price for the a la cattle or a further £50 per head... Booked this as a special treat for my wife's 50th birthday for her and her family. We were offered the choice between the Great British and A La Carte menus and chose the A La Carter due to there being a choice for each course. Each of the courses were served with plenty time between. All of the food was... More

Booked here after seeing Russell Bateman on Great British Menu. Didn't realise I had such a wonderful restaurant just down the road from me! The setting is beautiful. T Took my partner here for our anniversary. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the service was impeccable. We went for the 3 course a la carte menu (although you get... More

We have to say that the quality of the food has definitely downgraded. The setup and service is impeccable but sadly the food does not deserve the rosettes that it attains. The lamb and duck was quite tough given the fact we asked for medium and wow!the chef does love his rock salt as it just puts you off the... More

Where do I start? The night was delightful. Me and my girlfriend went as we saw there was a special offer midweek for a 3 course set menu. Every course was impeccable and the restaurant were also so kind as to offer us 1 pre starter, warm fresh bread and 1 pre and 1 après dessert each. After sharing a... More

We arrived and decided to have a pre-lunch drink. There were already a few people in the small lounge area so we sat in the bar area, which is equally nice. We had some very nice house Champagne. We ordered our food whilst having our drinks and were then called through to the small but lovely dining room. The Sunday... More

We booked for Sunday lunch and were delighted with all levels of service and quality. We did not need to remind the staff about gluten free requirements having told them when booking the table and I had delightful bread seasoned with rosemary and pear trifle!. The staff were attentive and yet discreet and nothing was too much trouble. They were... More

It takes some time to get a table at Colette's but it is well worth the wait. The welcome was warm and friendly and the reception / bar area for pre dinner drinks was comfortable and well appointed. Dinner was something special. The food quality, portion sizes, service and atmosphere were first rate and about as good as it gets.... More

Description
The Grove is a lavish, Elizabethan country house hote located just 40 minutes from London that used to be the historical home for the Earls of Clarendon. Tucked away inside this splendid setting is the discreet and elegant Colette's restaurant, which is renowned for its three AA rosette worthy cuisine by rising star Head Chef Russell Bateman and award-winning wine list. With views over Charlotte's Vale, the 18th century dining room at Colette's which was described by the hotel's architect Martin Hulbert as "groovy-grand" - has been restored with chic table settings, contemporary artworks and an understated vanilla and coffee colour scheme. Popular with chic city-dwellers and fashionable foreigners, Colette's has a modern European menu, and the restaurant regularly hosts wine evenings themed on iconic wine regions.
