Should never have closed down was the best pub in the area. Real kick in the teeth as a member of the public..

Met here with some friends for a night out, lovely outside seating area where we could all sit around and chat.
We had a business lunch here, which ended up being a business dinner and lots of fine booze. Sadly, this pub has now closed down and had been demolished and about to become new houses
The Highwayman has been demolished. The last time we visited was to watch the fire. It will not be re-built but will be replaced by new houses.
Loads of rubble being removed was told that living accommodation in form of houses would be built on the site shame as it was a pleasant pub but obviously not profitable
This restaurant was burnt down this year...... Thus, moreover and therefore difficult to assess. It WAS good in the past...soon to be houses, I think.
Nice variety of food choices, lovely atmosphere with live music in the background, spacious restaurant, lovely staff and we did not feel pressurised to finish up & leave, in fact we were one of the last to leave zzz!
We have eaten here 4 times (using the Tastecard) and can honestly say every meal has been impeccable. The menu is varied and everything we have tried has been delicious! Personal favourites are the goat's cheese, steaks and lamb shank. They also do awesome currys...More
We have visited a few times and were keen to return. However our last visit was very disappointing, the food was below average, have since discovered the highwayman will be closing and they appear to have lost all interest in their customers.
