Four of us had different starters. I personally chose duck pate which was lovely. All of us very happy with starters. For the main we all decided to go for the t-bone steak each cooked differently and with different sauces. All my colleagues and I agreed their steak was cooked perfectly. I chose the medium rear and it was just... More

Had a dinner last Saturday with my friend. We had calamari and cauliflower soup to start. Calamari perfectly crispy and well seasoned with really nice homemade tartar sauce. Soup was tasty with truffles and good seasoning. For the mains I chose the fillet steak and my friend rump of lamb. Both were perfectly cooked. My fillet incredibly tender and I... More

This is a nice enough restaurant (in parts) but given the name over the door, we expected something substantially better. We have eaten in Marco Pierre White restaurants, including The White Room on-board a P&O cruise ship where we were very impressed as it was an island of excellence in a sea of mediocrity. Wheelers at the Casa however did... More

This is an excellent restaurant that is classified as fine dining, and whilst this may frighten some diners off thinking it's very expensive especially with the name of Marco Pierre White, it is not, as the most expensive item (steak) is still just under £30, with most main meals priced between £18 to £24. The service was excellent and attentive.... More

Having read some reviews which commented about poor afternoon teas at Wheelers, I visited today with fairly low expectations. I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, plentiful, good fillings in the sandwiches, lovely scones with loads of clotted cream and jam and a variety of cakes. The service was great with three different members of staff checking we... More

Where to start...i could wright war and piece but all I can say is terrible!!! . Some of the elements from my starter where missing. 2 blobs of mash that taste like camping smash and dry over cooked chicken with coloured smears on my plate do not make a main dish. I agree with the older comments the chefs need... More

A lovely place to relax over a delicious Sunday Roast. Normally I do not have a pudding but I succumbed and it was yummy!

A one night stop over for business and arriving late meant I dined at the hotel restaurant. The waiter and waitress were charming. I had a prawn starter which was ok. Personally I found the sauce too heavy but the risotto was perfect . Asparagus . Very tasty. Large portions. A very comfortable restaurant to dine at on your own.... More

If our experience last week is representative of Mr White's abilities, he needs to spend less time trading off his name and training from the Roux Brothers and go back to college to finish his BTEC. In short, the food was made from poor ingredients, blandly flavoured, overcooked and served lukewarm onto cold plates. For starter I ordered the Duo... More

We visited for a meal a few days ago and the food is good, the location is good and the feel of the place is nice but just every element is a little lacking. Everything Could could be a bit better, the dinning room could be more cosy as it was freezing cold with none of the fires on and... More
