The Greyhound is very much a gastro pub at the far end of the High St. Warm, inviting and pleasant , attentive Staff. Easy parking too. Excellent range of wines . Portions not generous, but food was good . Especially enjoyed the pheasant . Fries are the fine straw ones which disappointed our Guests. Not cheap, but quality

Just had a lovely relaxed Sunday lunch. Food was excellent, and the service very attentive and friendly. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating for our 5 month old family member. Lovely décor and cosy atmosphere. We will definitely be going back.

Recommended to go here and it did not disappoint. All food was excellent and showed a variety of cooking skills perfectly executed. Service was friendly and laid back. Not stuffy or pushy but very professional. Far from being cheap but I felt it was decent value for money. Well worth a visit as the ambience, menu and quality of food were... More

Visited for lunch mid November and must say what a delightful place this is. First impressions good, and the garden looks like it would be a treat on a fine day. However, in November the pub was cold, in fact, too cold for the ladies in the group. Looking for a light bite we chose from the 'on toast' menu... More

Good Saturday pub lunch - nice staff and nice ambience and we had a really good lunch. It's more of a restaurant than a pub (nothing wrong with that) and dog friendly (turn left as you enter for the doggie room - turning right seemed to be the family-friendly room - with free dog biscuits!) We arrived later than planned,... More

we popped in with some friends for lunch and even though we were late (we had called ahead) there was no issue. really quick and friendly service. 2 sharing platters fish and charcuterie followed. Plenty and quality.

I recently organised a 40th anniversary reunion at the Greyhound which nineteen attended (one couple coming from Australia) of whom thirteen stayed overnight. We were all made most welcome both upstairs and downstairs from our arrival mid-afternoon through to departure next day after the best breakfast had in many a year. For dinner, the staff coped immaculately with our idiosyncracies,... More

Visited last weekend and had a great lunch. Amazing ribeye steak and pork belly. Although a pub the food is worthy of an upmarket restaurant. Great dining room inside and very efficient and friendly service. Will come back.

Had a great dinner experience here. The staff are friendly and helpful and food is excellent. The pub part is good for a pint and even the bar flies are upper class! We have been going to this place for a number of years and this latest incarnation is the best in my opinion.
