Pretty pub on main street in Petersfield - had a great historical feel about it, very atmospheric and nice garden area. Perspective on it as a B&B however was a bit different. We stayed for four nights in August while attending a wedding. We had...More

Stayed for one night in room 4. Not overly large. Nicely decorated and furnished and excellent bed linen. Only 16 inches at end of bed to wall and a curved tv had been placed on the wall which we kept knocking into. I would suggest...More

We booked in for one night in the family room. None of us could believe just how beautiful the room was - the decor is amazing, it was massive, had a great ‘feel’, the shower was top notch, great Telly, dual aspect, Victorian fireplaces...the list...More

We came for a family meal and were not disappointed! Decor inside and garden/patio area is beautifully designed. Staff very friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was fresh, seasoned and well presented. We will be back!

Five of us went to The Drum for drinks and something to eat. We were told that we could not order for another half an hour as a large party were coming in. That was fine, ordered drinks and decided what we wanted. 30 mins...More

Very disappointing, poor choice of food and appalling service. When the food finally arrived after 90 minutes, it was quite nice. But the staff were poorly trained, old glasses left on the table, utensils not laid out - we had to ask for knives and...More

Our family visited this restaurant for a special occasion and it looked a nice cosy place. We arrived just after 7 and had to wait ages for our starters. The starters (from the calamari to the fishcakes) were all quite delicious. Not all in our...More

Good afternoon, we are surprised to receive such a review? I remember your table, and to my understanding , there was no issue. It is very true, every single dish presented and cooked daily, fresh. Some dishes require 15 min and it is specified on...More

We spent one night in the old drum. The staff were very friendly and the quality of the room, decor and breakfast were wonderful. Our room named charcoal was small, if we stayed again we would insist a larger room.

Built in the 18th Century, it is the oldest in the area and has been lovingly and painstakingly restored to keep its character and charm. Enjoy real ales and fantastic, locally sourced food in a relaxed, eclectic environment. With three open fires, comfy leather sofas and happy, smiling staff, what's not to like?
