Popped in today for a light lunch. Staff very friendly (Jo and Jaz). The Cabernet Sauvignon New Zealand wine was the best I have had locally for a while. The starter of Sticky Sesame chicken was tasty but the portion was very small compared to...another very local public house. Expensive for such a small bit of thin chicken on a lettuce leaf. The scampi was nice and the chips perfectly crispy. Otherwise a nice local pub with great staff.More

Why have I not been here before? Easy to find, plenty of parking, lovely family/dog friendly pub with a wonderful selection of food. For a family of fussy eaters there was something for everyone

We stopped in for a family meal on a Saturday night. The food was lovely - we had a main course and a dessert each, and everything was delicious and came in a decent portion to boot. The drinks were good too - I got...to try a locally sourced cider which was very nice. The standout thing about the visit was the service though - our server Lucy was fantastic, very helpful and friendly throughout and took everything in her stride and is a credit to the venue. All in all we had a great night, and we'll definitely be back for more meals - and we'd certainly recommend the pub to others!More

My family , 14 of us, age ranging from 9 - 76 have visited The Wheelwrights 5 times this year and haven’t been disappointed with the food or the service. From the starter to the dessert the size, quality and tastes are delightful. The staff...truly care about your experience , especially Bobbie who waited on our table last week , she was very tentative to all our family needs and requirements .More

Six of us went midweek for dinner. The service was friendly and prompt. We all had starters and mains; a mix from the great value set menu and the main menu. The food was to a high standard and everyone commented on how enjoyable it...was. We will definitely go back.More

Went as a table of 5 'ladies who lunch'. Food from set lunch menu was fine but maybe a little more choice could have been offered. Slightly limited. Only one word of warning - they had a private booking in a room at the back...of the pub and consequently the car park was full. We all had to park quite a distance away and walk back, which was not easy as we are all over 70! and a very hot day. Ironic as we picked this place more than anything because they seemed to have plenty of parking!More

Honestly one of the loveliest pub lunches our family have had in a while. Amazing value for money with the lunch deals. We ordered the wedge salad, burger, schnitzel, full English and sticky toffee pudding. Mains were served with a generous portion of crunchy fat...chips that were fabulously fluffy in the middle and my schnitzel was perfectly cooked. Really enjoyed the decor and music. Service was super friendly even when it started to pick up a bit. Would love to come back again to try the roasts!More

After mis reading the serving times for brunch, the wheelwright Arms were still very accomadating and welcoming. Service was prompt and friendly, and the quality of the food was amazing and perfectly cooked. The 2 for £14 voucher was honoured even due to our own confusion....Highly reccommend and can't wait to go back again!More
