What a shame… what use to be the best restaurant in Emsworth has slowly turned into the worst. After the owner left I did wonder if they would be able to keep up the same standards but they haven’t. The food was boring. Portion sizes...are starting to get smaller they are putting the menu prices up each time I have been in there the prices on the menu have gone up. Really not great experience at all and I hope that they can go back to how it use to be. They have changed some of the dishes aswell and they are just very bland and boring. They couldn’t get the potatoes right. Use to get a lot of veg but hardly got any between two of us. I was very disappointed last night as a regular to Nicolinos this was by far one of the worse meals I’ve ever ate out. Really hope they can change this back to how it use to be.More
We go here as a group of friends a couple of times a year. It’s always brilliant. Great atmosphere, great service and wonderful food. The portion sizes are plentiful. The staff are attentive and can’t do enough for you. It’s just a wonderful experience from...start to finish. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to people and will definitely be going back again - in fact, we can’t wait. I ordered a vegetarian pasta where walnuts were one of the ingredients. I was disappointed to find no actual walnuts in the dish and to be told the walnut was in a paste in the ravioli. Not really the same thing and no discernible walnut...flavour. They did knock £3 off the bill, but only when I asked twice for something to make up for it. The people I ate with said their food was fine.More
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Nicolini's and will definitely be returning. The food and service is first class and at a perfectly reasonable price.
As a regular visitor to Nicolino’s we are always impressed with the quality of food, the fantastic atmosphere and great staff. That’s why we keep going back. A truly wonderful experience everytime
First visit back to this popular restaurant in Emsworth in a couple years. We understand it's now under new ownership and that has not diminished the experience one but. In fact, it's better than ever. Super friendly staff. Quick service given that the restaurant was...packed and the food was, as always, spot on. Good variety to choose from on the menu. In keeping with our expectations. The starters were excellent and generous. The mains were well cooked and imaginative. And the service was friendly but gave is plenty of time to decide on our dishes. My top tip would be make sure you book. This has to be done over the phone but they are a busy eatery so just turning up at the door would risk disappointment. Second tip would be try lots of different things on the menu. Four of us had four different starters and four different mains and all of them were excellent.More
My first time here after heavy recommendation from friends and family and I’m only disappointed that I didn’t go sooner. Everything from the service to the food to the design is top notch. You can’t go wrong here if you’re looking for tasty family made...italian food. The portion they give is huge as well compared to other places that charge ridiculous amounts for a baby’s portion. We have eaten here a few times and decided to take our staff there for the xmas meal. Yet again another faultless experiance. The food is so tasty and the portions are large. The place is buzzing and the staff cannot do enough for you....We have already booked to go here for our anniversary meal. Highly recommend if you like proper italian food.More

Visited for a friend’s birthday and the service was great with the owner / manager being friendly and lively. The food was a mixed bag, my husbands pizza was bland; my friends risotto was enormous and my ravioli was tasty but the portion was small...and it was floating in an unappetising looking liquid. I want to start by saying the food was delicious and very large portions. Cannot fault that at all, we all hat the set xmas menu and it all came out quickly, was hot and beautifully presented. However, we did not enjoy the attention of...Georgio (?) I’m sorry to say we all found it a little bit cringey and felt very uncomfortable, he was just acting like a drunk lecherous uncle which nobody likes. Maybe there’s some ladies out there who find this funny or charming. But it wasn’t an enjoyable experience for us. The singing great, but the dated cheesy jokes, innuendos, hand kissing and other physical contact? No thanks. Maybe it’s because we were a group of women? If our partners were there it might have been different, but it was quite off putting, and I couldn’t wait to leave. If none of that had happened I would easily give 5 stars.More

We came here on Friday as a group of 3 for my sisters birthday. it’s the first time we have been since it was taken over. We received a warm welcome and the staff were friendly and attentive. Food was fantastic and although not an...option on the menu anymore, they made me an arrabbiata which was lovely. We all enjoyed our main meal and desserts, we would return.More
This was booked 3 weeks ago for a family birthday, 6 of us those of us who choose a meals with vegetables well don't bother, meat dishes came out no veg, we were told sorry we are busy! This was my first time, not sure...I would go back after complaining and near to tears was offered a free pudding!
