Food was absolutely delicious, very flavoursome and nice portion sizes. Timings between courses was spot on. Staff very attentive but not in your face. Will definitely be returning for another special occasion in the future.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal out with my husband. From booking to leaving everything was made perfect. Staff were super attentive and friendly. I mentioned when booking that it was my husband’s birthday and that I am a coeliac. We were greeted with a “happy birthday”...and the candle in his pudding was a lovely touch! I felt very assured that my dietary requirements were understood and taken care of in such a caring and efficient manner. As a coeliac eating out can be so stressful but this was bliss. The meal wasn’t cheap but for the standard of food it was good value. Will 💯 revisit!More

Visited Fat Olives on numerous occasions over the years and it is always fantastic. Service from Joules and her team is faultless and the food from Lawrence and the kitchen is always amazing, fresh and seasonal. A must visit place if in Emsworth but be...sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Can’t wait to visit again.More

I was happy to introduce another of my friends to the pleasure of dining at Fat Olives, and she was duly impressed. The restaurant is an oasis of calm, with everything under control and lovely menu choices. We both had the pork belly for our...main course, then I had honey pannacotta with ginger and my friend had a lemon cheesecake with lemon curd and 'candy'. A sunny stroll round the harbour rounded off our lunch.More

This is our second visit to Fat Olives. The first, a very enjoyable lunchtime meal. We believe the minute you enter a restaurant your journey should start. We were politely seated and offered the wine and food menu. We choose a very lovely bottle of...red, in fact the wine was smooth, well bodies and delicious. After studying the menu I opted for a starter, my wife was happy to enjoy a glass of wine. My starter, in my opinion, was poor, and devoid of any flavourings. Had the chef lost his salt and pepper? Whilst eating my starter my wife decided to enjoy and piece of freshly baked bread and butter. Again, both we devoid of flavourings. We now sound like we are salt hounds, in reality we are typically representative of customers paying for what should be good quality food. Our mains arrived, I ordered steak, my wife ordered a fish dish. Again, her meal was tasteless, this time we asked for a small pot of salt. Although this was delivered with grace, at no time were we asked if we needed anything else or if we were enjoying our meals. Our journey was obviously ending! My steak was over-cooked and not the easiest to eat. Again, very disappointing in overall flavouring. Maybe it is time for the Fat Olives team to spend a little time benchmarking their service and food against similar restaurants! It's such a shame having to write this review but if we did no then how would others know what to expect!More

A great lunch with gorgeous food and very attentive service. Although the lunchtime menus is relatively small there is something there for everyone and I will return to try something else. The meal I had was high quality and I enjoyed it greatly. A delightful...experience all around.More
