Various appointments in town led to an impromptu visit to Driftwood. Very smiley, friendly staff, speedy service and decent food. Lovely ambience and layout, with a decent space between tables. My husband had the large Driftwood breakfast, I had the vegetarian version with halloumi, spinach,...tomatoes, poached eggs and mushrooms on sourdough, all excellent. We will be back.More

The service was friendly and considering how busy it was (Sunday lunchtime), we didn't have to wait much to place our order. Tasty food. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is that the panini I ordered was very unevenly filled....Other than that it was very nice. The place is very nicely decorated.More

It's been a while - no excuses - but it's always good to return. 1st visit this week after my monthly Physio. Perfect timing for a treat. Americano plus one or their "Historic" ("Thanks, Michael Winner") Fruit Scones. Today a late lunch. Had both Quiches...(between us) with delicious Salad. Preceded by Fresh Orange Juice and bookended by my favourite Macciato. Hayling SeagoonMore

My friend and I have been regulars at this cafe for some years, always having lunch and coffee, cakes and a sandwich. We always enjoyed our visits. Recently something has changed, There is still a good atmosphere and three distinct seating areas indoors and outside,...However the previously personable staff have become largely quiet and anonymous, and the sandwiches are not as wholesome with key ingredients changed. The gorgeous chicken, avocado and smoked bacon with salad has now been replaced by smoked bacon and chicken ready-mixed in a mayo sauce, there’s no option not to have the mayo, and no avocado included. Prices have risen sharply, however the crowds still attend and it isn’t unusual to queue to get in. Sadly after giving it a miss for a while we recently re-attended and were disappointed with one of the sandwiches which took three returns to the kitchen to get right. No apologies for getting it wrong. We will be giving Driftwood a miss now and will be frequenting JJs a short walk away where there is a greater variety of meals and quality sandwiches and prices are generally £3 each cheaper.More

We came here for breakfast and lunch during our week in Emsworth and both times were sat out in the garden building as we had our dog with us. However I think that was the best place to be! It was an awesome space and...so cosy! Service was really good, they were very efficient! Lunch was really good, however my partner is quite fussy so was a shame things couldn’t be removed from the paninis. Breakfast however was super tasty and we will definitely be returning!! We also had some hot drinks and pastries to take away on our last day which were yummy as well!More

Really disappointing lunch at driftwood. Service was quick but only when we had to ask for our order to be taken after sitting for 10 minutes. Seafood platter hugely overpriced; Two cherry tomatoes cut in half, mountains of lettuce, a dessert spoon of prawns and...four slices of smoked salmon for £16! The Bread that came with soup was so stale. £44 but wished we’d stayed at home. I look forward to a response.More

This is a lovely little cafe in Emsworth. The staff are lovely and the menu is great. A range of food available including many cakes. Service is always quick and done with a smile. I would struggle here on days when I am in my...wheelchair though as there is a step in the cafe and there is not much room to manoeuvre a wheelchair so for that reason I would say it’s not disabled friendly, otherwise a great cafe though. Can’t fault it. A must go to cafe in the heart of EmsworthMore

Driftwood had been highly recommended, and I can see why. There was a prompt, friendly welcome, when we arrived, and there was a choice of seating -opting for the covered area right at the back (perfectly sheltered from the downpours that day). Our chosen sandwiches...and panini, with cold drinks, arrived in record time- and they were perfect, the panini was probably the best I've had, and the fillings were toasty hot. Having enjoyed our leisurely lunch, we then ordered delicious cake and coffee for our second wind. The atmosphere at Driftwood was lovely, we never felt rushed and both thoroughly enjoyed this new- to- us venue for a catch-up. We'll be back!More

Visited for a takeaway coffee and some cakes and ended up coming back for lunch. The outdoor courtyard is a lovely space to sit. Food was delicious and generous portions, coffee was good and staff friendly. Definitely a cafe worth a visit.

Quite a nice place with lots of tables and different areas for seating. Great homemade cakes and scones etc. However my partner had hot water and I had a pot of tea. We were charged for 2 pots of tea . Hot water should be...free or say 50p.Lots of staff, good menu on a clip board style.More
