We visit this pub fairly regularly and the food is always delicious and fresh. Visited today for wonderful food again and listened to a bizarre woman complaining about a vegan burger (with added cheese). The staff dealt with it brilliantly- although they seemed to get...the short straw. Much respect to this pub and its staff.More

Found this pub whilst staying locally and glad we did. A proper friendly, local pub. Everyone was nice, nothing too much trouble and the food and drink were very good too.

With Covid ,havnt been to the Coal Exchange for a while. Pleased to say food still excellent and well kept beers. Staff as pleasant as ever. Big suprise was the changes to the garden, it is very well laid out and practical for sun or...not. Dogs were welcome with the right ettiquette, and smoking area away from garden was well equipped and thoughtful. Well done every one keep up the good vibesMore

Has a nice secluded garden out the back and did a great job focusing on allergy friendly food. The fish and chips were outstanding and also could be had gluten free. Landlord very accommodating, very friendly. Had a great time here on a Friday afternoon....Full of beers on tap also made this an ideal spot to go to.More

We were recommended by our neighbours to visit the Coal Exchange. We know Emsworth very well, but have never stopped to eat there. What a lovely traditional pub it is. From the moment you walk in the staff are friendly and attentive. The food we...ordered what delicious, well presented and HOT, something many chain pubs fall short on. We recommend this pub without any doubts. We will return again soon.More

Went for family meal out. Food was good-not huge range but we all had empty plates. They forgot something for one of the meals but brought it out later and generally the service was great- all really friendly. Pretty small and a bit cosy- nice...feeling though would go back again for sure.More

We visited this pub for a Sunday roast and it was absolutely incredible. Roaring fires, fresh flowers on the tables together with candles and a cosy corner. Fleece blankets were offered if we wanted to sit outside, together with outside garden heaters. It was just...wonderful, our meal was served piping hot with such a fabulous selection of 6 fresh vegetables. Crispy roast potatoes and hot plates, it was truly wonderful. I chose the steak and ale pie cooked in light pastry, it’s the best pie I’ve ever eaten. The menu is varied and the pub caters for everyone. Dogs are welcome, and the staff greet you with a welcoming smile and are so incredibly obliging. Best pub in Emsworth. A must to visit. Thank you for a delicious feast and lovely experience.More

We had never been to this pub before though like Emsworth for the walks by the sea. Made to feel really welcome. We both had the homemade suet pudding (my husband lamb and leek me the beef and onion). Tasty and hot - something we...always look for with mash !!! For a pudding (though we were full up we both had choc fudge cake as a treat).More

Lovely local pub, good choice of beers and good Sunday lunch, the only thing to let it down was having to pay 0.75p for a Yorkshire pudding which was obviously shop bought, otherwise I would have given it a 5.
