Recently changed ownership and we were keen to try it out on one of our regular visits to the area. On a Thursday lunchtime there were only five diners so rather lacking in atmosphere. However this was more than compensated for by the friendly service...More

Haven't been to Foston's Ash for approx 20 years. The pub has a great charm inside - not immediately obvious from outside - the staff were really friendly (as they should be) andthe pub comfortable on a cold night. Food was great, not a huge...More

We had a wonderful meal at Fostons Ash, The Camp.We had heard the food was good there so decided to try it. Our starters were delicious. I had the game terrine and husband had smoked salmon and crayfish tails. Beautifully presented and full of flavours....More

Heard the pub had recently changed hands and had heard good things but unfortunately for us, not for the good. 4 real ale taps, only one available, which had stayed cloudy the whole time we were there so had only drank half. Menu was still...More

We happened upon this fabulous pub via the MG "Safety Fast" magazine in which it was advertised. We went yesterday to check it out and were very impressed with the cheerful crowd, the warm welcome from the owner, the lovely aromas emanating from the kitchen....More

The visit consisted of an average meal sandwiched between two slices of less than average service. The cray fish and smoked salmon starter was a small glass with the contents dolloped into it. The accompanying toast was horribly burnt on one side and cold elsewhere....More

We hadn't been for 5 years and it has recently changed hands so were interested how it had changed - if it had. It was still very busy and the Sunday lunch was nearly as good as we remembered them. If anything, the vegetables were...More

First visit for 4 months. Ownership has changed but the quality of our Sunday Lunch was outstanding. Really friendly and efficient service. We were delighted to find that change of ownership had not resulted in an inferior food and service. A lovely ambience made our...More

Thanks so much for your great feedback Keith: "fabulous" is what we strive for! When we bought Foston's, the old white plates and cutlery set were all looking tired so we updated the complete service... but we are reviewing these for Sunday Roasts as it...More

With another 30 other guests dining at Foston's last Thursday, I am so pleased to learn that the 'work leaving do' went well for your party of 15. The Christmas Menu is already out, so if you have not yet booked that, then please bear...More

I'd certainly NOT recommend the chef's chicken and leek pie..served with dark onion gravy of all things! The filling was minimal, dry and insubstantial with tough pastry and served with a few al dente sprigs of broccoli and a couple of green beans. Although the...More

Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, we pride ourselves on delivering brilliantly fresh and locally sourced food & beverages. With extensive gardens (with play area) to enjoy in the Summer and open log fires in the winter, The Foston's Ash is a true Cotswold destination in the heart of the Cotswold Hills. We aim to promote a community feel at The Foston's. As such all of our dishes freshly produced on site using only the finest ingredients from local suppliers. Dogs, horses and children are of course also welcome in our happy and friendly pub. As our beautiful country pub is only an idyllic ride away to Edgeworth & Longdole Polo Club and only a short drive to Cirencester Park & The Beaufort; the venue is fast becoming a favourite amongst the local polo community. Please do feel welcome to park your vehicle and explore the bridleways and footpaths that run from the venue before coming enjoying refreshment in the pub. Booking is recommended.
