I've visited Ashlyns on a few occasions to sample a great pot of tea, delicious food and a convenient place for a business meeting catch up. I've known it to have been very busy on occasion, but always, the staff manage to find us a table. It's not just about the restaurant either, the shop itself is always an interesting... More

Yesterday my family arrived at Ashlyns just after 11.30am, looking for a coffee. Upon entering the restaurant we were approached by a member of staff who informed us in a very direct, even rude manner that they had finished serving breakfast. We asked if it was possible to have just coffee and were told no. Whilst it is true that... More

My daughter has been telling me that they do a really nice breakfast, so we went yesterday morning to try it. The restaurant was clean and airy and tables nicely spread out. I had the smaller English breakfast and my daughter had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Both meals were well cooked, fresh and tasty, and the service was good.... More

I came down from Manchester to visit a friend and we ended up here for lunch, together with her 10 month old daughter. The food was fantastic (especially the angel cake) and staff couldn't do enough for us, very friendly and efficient. I'll definitely be back next time I'm down that way.

We had lunch here, service was friendly and children were made to feel quite welcome. Visit on a day the BBQ is going and enjoy their dishes in the picnic area for a fraction of the cost of the restaurant. The farm is fantastic with lots to do for kids and a water play area for cooling down.

We were looking for somewhere for a light bite and saw this farm shop restaurant as we passed by. It looked interesting so we went back and it looked a nice place to stop for a quick meal. They accommodated us even though we hadn't booked and we put in our order for haddock and chips and ham, egg and... More

We have visited Ashlyns farm many times and I have been dying to try out the restaurant so today, after a long walk around the farm, tractor ride and having a magical day we decided to have lunch in the restaurant. I walked in at 2pm (not busy) and although there were staff about, I was not immediately greeted. we... More

Friendly, great organic food, an absolute must at the weekend. Go almost every week, with kids and without.

Popped in when passing as the idea of a restaurant / farm shop appealed Arrived just after the breakfast service and before lunch started so wondered around for a title while. Went back at midday and were seated outside on the terrace - service was OK seemed to have some confusion who was serving as three people asked about ordering... More

I could stand the enormous wait to be served for Sunday lunch but when my daughter found a metal staple in her salad, we told our waitress who didn't seem too bothered. My wife rang the following day to inform the restaurant but they didn't seem too bothered either. I don't think we'll be going back.
