Went on a Sunday with friends. Quite busy. Attentive staff. Wait for ordering reasonable. Delivery time to table of food satisfactory. Presentation okay. A chain restaurant so menu standard. Prices have increased in most restaurants in recent weeks and some are overpriced in our opinion. For instance roast vegetables and salmon at £11.48 - not a particularly big piece of... More

Thanks you for your feedback. In a recent article by the Financial Times, Salmon devotees should prepare to pay more for their smoked fish or grilled fillets after a leap in prices to record levels last year. Severe outbreaks of sea lice in Norway and Scotland as well as a deadly algae bloom that hit Chile in early 2016 meant... More

We haven't visited recently because of a really bad experience on a previous occasion. However, we should have tried again as there has been a change in management and the whole experience has improved. The booking was pleasant, the table was ready, the Sunday Lunch really acceptable and the wine excellent in taste and value. If this is the standard... More

We stopped off here for lunch, sadly the food wasn't great. Within the group there was two types of chips, chunky which tasted awful as though the oil used to fry them had been used for other dishes, either that or old and needed changing. The skinny chips were so far under cooked that they were soft with very little... More

Have eaten at the Duke of Wellington on several occasions. The last time was dissapointing, so haven't been for quite some time. But, on Sunday thought we'd try again as it's local to us. The chef could have changed since our last visit & the food could be nice ...wrong!! After standing at the bar for what seemed like ages,... More
