We visit here every couple of month, the food is always wonderful and the service is so attentive and friendly. All the wines are lovely too.

We thought we'd try somewhere different and this has plenty of good reviews: it did not disappoint. Damp autumn day and not very busy but nonetheless a pleasant atmosphere. Very welcoming hosts and could not fault the service. Vietnamese spring rolls were delicious as was the rest of the meal. I would thoroughly recommend.

A very nice restaurant in the countryside. The interior decor was very nice combined with a good atmosphere. The menu and wine list was varied, although a little pricey. The food was excellent and of a high quality the only exception being my disappointment with the homemade rum and raisin ice cream which lacked any rum flavour. The staff were... More

Food and surroundings very good, service attentive but on both my visits have been reminded others will want the table. It may be true but I don't want to know. Play the game, the customer is important.

I had seen the Trip Advisor reviews for this place and had to go as they were spectacularly good. I now know why. The Cuckoo is in a really remote setting but if you turn down Radley Green Rd from the A414 and keep going you will find it on your right set back from the road with plenty of... More

Visited on a Friday night as a party of four, the experience was truly faultless from start to finish. The food perfectly cooked with just the right amount of attentive service without being over-bearing. Thank you and we look forward to our next visit. Geoff

A lovely lunch served in a clean, bright environment. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient. The food was very good indeed. I had no starter but for mains the curried monkfish - which was plentiful and very tasty. Dessert was the almond tart with a flavoured ice cream. The wine list was adequate for a place this size and... More

This is the second time I have been here. The venue is small, but it adds to the charm and spirit of the place. It has recently been slightly extended. I definitely recommend here, as it is quaint and intimate but moreso; the menu is very exciting. On both occasions the menu was surprising and interesting. The food was delicious.... More

Arrived at The Cuckoo which is basically a house set in the countryside. Very well mantained and very clean. Warmly welcomed and shown to our table in the new extension. Order drinks while we perused the menu (note for Ale drinkers, they do a very nice IPA) Ordered our meals which were then served quickly and hot , always welcome,... More

We've been to the Cuckoo on a few occasions and have always enjoyed our visits. The food is excellent and truly varied, from Steak and kidney pud to Thai dishes, the venue and ambiance is also good. The only down side for us is that whenever we've been we've felt rushed. The courses seem to arrive so abruptly after we've... More
