My wife and I visited again yesterday (we have not been for some time) and both chose the 8 course tasting menu. The food was amazing, incredible and faultless. Fine dining at its best without the Michelin star prices. Molly and the front of house team were fantastic, attentive but not overwhelming. We felt so welcome and everyone who attended... More

We had heard good reports of this restaurant, so we booked a table for their special Valentine's meal. Everything about the evening was first class. The dining room had a great atmosphere - we appreciated the open fire - and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was fantastic. All the courses were imaginative and unusual. There is... More

What a surprise this place is, what a wonderfully spacious dining area (upstairs) and as previously mentioned beautifully crisp table settings. We had a round table for 8 which was perfect, not remotely cramped and no other table nearby. So thoughtful were the staff - we waited in a small room upstairs whilst we had had pre-dinner drinks and looked... More

Came here for lunch. Lunch menu had a good choice. We started with the smoked haddock and leek fishcakes served with lemon mayo and tomato salsa, which were lovely. Packed full of fish. For our main we chose the day special. Chicken breast with a truffle and parmesan cheese topping served with sauté potatoes, broccoli, squash puree and pumpkin chips.... More

The bar restaurant tables are very elegant. The food is imaginative and beautifully presented. I loved my goats cheese with pistachios and butternut squash and cauliflower. My husband's beef was a bit tough. My mother in law did not care for her fishcakes. Soup was lovely. Crème brûlée very good and served with a crispy tuile. I didn't really like... More

Visited the Fox and Goose again, with friends who had not been before. Menu as ever varied and something for everyone. It's really great value for a three course lunch. All had starters, my chicken and ham terrine was excellent. If want tradition, then roast beef with all of the trimmings will be for you. Wine list not exorbitantly priced.... More

This is my favourite restaurant in Suffolk. We always have a great meal and service, the emphasis is on fresh local produce and I can never choose from the menu because I want it all :) I just wish we could go more often ❤️️🍷😇🦄

We booked for New Years Day, having seen that the Fox and Goose were open on a recent visit in November. Initially the booking was for two people, but once our friends heard about this the booking was quickly changed to six (all four friends had not been before). On arrival the usual friendly greeting saw us settling into a... More

We went two days before Xmas and had a fantastic meal. The restaurant was not cramped but not empty. We had a round table for 6 which was perfect. Service excellent and food delicious. Would recommend for a special occasion. We will try downstairs next time.
