The most standard order you can have, chicken tikka masala, I’ve never tasted something so bland, watery and disappointing, worst Indian I’ve ever had in my life

Average food. Not great but not bad either. Found it quite expensive tbh. Especially samosa £3.45 2x very small triangles , Shobi spring rolls 2 x slim pickings £2.95 and lamb spring rolls 2 x slim pickings with some sort of paste meat. All of...these served without any sauces which I thought normally given to complement the dish. Sweet chilli sauce in mind. Overall bit disappointed especially reading the reviews. One great point. The service is good.More

Will order from here at least once a month. The food is of a very high standard and never disappoints, so much that we've been ordering here for the last ten years and never had a bad meal. All staff are extremely friendly and it's...always good to have a nice chat with them.More

Been many times and staff are always very friendly and food is always lovely. Nice chilled atmosphere and roomy with view over the town.
Order a takeaway online on 16th April and disappointed that the starter was missing the salad and sauce that's comes as standard so ended up in the bin as not the same without them. Thanks for disappointing takeaway.....won't be back as not the 1st time...this has happened and shouldn't need to check what I ordered/comlimentary items.More
Thank you very much for your review I’m sorry that you feel let down at busy times they are really but sometimes we do you miss mint sauce or a salad, we would’ve been really happy to drop one off to you if you did...More
Having worked all over the country I have eaten in or had a take away at, let's say more than 100 indian restaurants and I would put the quality of the food here in THE TOP 2 !!!! The standard of food from here cannot...be beaten, either locally or for several miles after that. It is ready when agreed, correct temperature and not all covered in oil. The portion size is also larger than most other places. Full compliments to the chef for cooking it and the friendly staff for serving / delivering this above normal standard, lovely, lovely, excellent food. Thank you.More

I stayed in the nearby Crown Inn and fancied a curry so wandered down to here and am pleased that I did. It was a fairly quiet Wednesday evening so was given a choice of tables but it as far too dark so moved to...a lighter area of the restaurant. A fellow solo traveller next to me was, like me, reading his paper and had to use the phone torch to see the print. The welcome was so-so and staff were fine but none were especially friendly although locals waiting for takeaways got good attention, fair enough I suppose, they are the people who keep the place going. Anyway, apart from those two issues this place managed to serve up the best curry I've ever had and I made a point of complimenting the manager on the superbly subtle blend of spices. My mains was slow cooked lamb, listed as 'medium' and it was a treat to be able to pick out individual spices from the rich but never greasy sauce. The meat was tender and the portion sizes huge, as was the rice and side dish. So often curries, even medium ones, end up burning the lips or mouth, destroying any taste of the spices, whereas this one allows you to enjoy every mouthful. I would rate the food as excellent, the dingy lighting and so-so staff merit the overall experience as very good.More
From the moment i set foot in the restaurant the staff where super helpful and fantastic. The chicken Tikka Masala was amazing, the best that i have ever had and would highly recommend to try. Great staff and will definitely be returning soon.
