About
Hoitea Toitea is a vintage tea cafe set in our not so posh image of a quintessential Dukan Sha. Good Classic Ambience, Food quality is good, as i couldn't try much of the items being solo, Peaceful surrounding and with a pool make it more beautiful and worth visiting.

Very interesting upcycled decor, great big menu and finally local items in Shillong which seems to be obsessed with Chinese food!
Situated in a totally incongruous location with a forest and a pool as neighbours, it's beautiful.

The setting is very nice and the food delicious and creative. However, the service was extremely slowly. It took more than 30 minutes to get a piece of cake served, which was already on display at the counter. Another 10 minutes later we got the tea we ordered...
It could be a nice place, but the staff is unfortunately not capable in running this place.

Heard about this place from a friend. It's another of those new age fancy cafe's which have popped up all over shillong. What I really liked though was that they are trying to stay true to the local roots. Tried the meg tumeric tea which had a really nice flavour and was served in those old school kettles which are there in Kong shop's . A little overpriced but nic. Also Tungtap Poppers were quite a revelation! Very tasty and different and again local touch. Nice to see their initiative .

Noticed a new cafe had opened inside crinoline compound so decided to pay a visit. The place was beautiful and pretty inside with old doors and fairy lights. Tried this tea called birdsong - so nice and pink and great flavours as well. Such a nice surprise to find this lovely cafe in Shillong city. Very great addition to the cafe culture of shillong.

The place was looking great and the decor was WOW and the attraction for me is that the ceiling. Never had so something so tasty!!!! Twist on a local dish with potato. Great chef !!!! Everyone should visit this cafe and try this dish. Very interesting and innovative and must try for all khasi and non khasi people.

Nestled between the lush trees, this unique poolside cafe is a pleasant surprise to the city of Shillong! Owned by the same people as ML 05 and Dylan’s, I knew that Hoitea Toitea will surely have some some off beat elements as the former two cafes ! And I wasn’t mistaken. The cafe has a Victorian vintage feel to it with a beautiful ceiling (see picture). I ordered the sesame honey noodles and falafel. Both dishes were delicious !! It has a lot of healthy options. I went for an ABC (apple, beetroot and carrot) juice which made me less guilty about indulging into so much of yummy food! Overall, great service ! Would definitely recommend !
