My husband and I have visited The Village Inn three times in the past couple months. Every time we have had excellent service and we thoroughly enjoyed the food! We plan to return many times in the future!

We were at the Kenyon Athletic Center and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. The Village Inn is right on campus and easily accessible on foot. The service was friendly and efficient, while the menu was a step above your usual pub fare. Even though it's the only game in town, I think the Village Inn works hard... More

Our daughter is a sophomore in High School and we are working on identifying the type of college she wants to go to... While visiting Kenyon, we wondered into the Village Inn... The sandwiches were great and the side choices were a pleasant surprise... The wait staff was swamped with a large party but they were still responsive and helpful...... More

The appetizers here (mushroom fries, hummus, mozzerella triangles were excellent. But the main I had (spicy coconut grilled chicken wrap(?) was only ok. The flavor was good but the chicken was dry and overcooked.

Interesting sandwiches and great salads. They serve wine and have a revolving list of tap beers from Pale to Stout. Fast service in a friendly pub setting. We had a smoked salmon sandwich which was excellent. The Thai Peanut was good except for the fact that the sauce was on only half of the sandwich.

It's your average bar, but the atmosphere is nice and it seems to be cleaner than most. The food was good - nothing earth-shaking, but it's good food. It doesn't tend to be my first choice of places to eat, but give it a try. A good place to go with friends.

Ate here on a Friday evening on a visit to Kenyon College and was almost put off by the crowded waiting area initially but waited it out (which wasn't unduly long) and got a small table outside the bar area. Service was very good despite being busy. Food was quite good - smoked salmon on a focaccia - and beer... More

My teenage daughters and I dropped by for a quick lunch, as well as some nostalgia (I used to frequent the V.I. as a student at Kenyon in the '70s, although I was there for liquid refreshment more often than not). I remember having an excellent reuben sandwich with tater tots - really very good with lean corned beef, good... More

The food at the VI is always great and the tap list is pretty good for a small college town bar. Taps rotate all the time with good craft beer choices. Burgers and quesadillas are a must try!

I've probably crossed the 25X-visitor threshold here, which makes me either an expert or a glutton for punishment - and it's definitely the former. I've been a very happy customer here about 90 percent of the time, and their food is really the primary reason: good selection and variety, delivered fresh and flavorful, and the bonus is when the front...
