I recently had a quick get together with a dozen or so friends. The Elevator was great about accommodating us. In addition, since I was purchasing the first round but was running late they took the order over the phone and did NOT even ask for a credit card up front! The food was great and different. The beers were... More

My three keys to a good restaurant are food, service and atmosphere. Elevator did well on all three. I had the ahi tuna wrap and ginger beer both were very good. The ginger beer has some zip to it. VERY GINGERY. A colleague had the calamari app and it looked good and he said it was tasty. We had a... More

Stopped by around 5:30 on a Friday before a CBJ game and was able to get a table in the front of the house. The decor of the 100+ year old building is worth a visit itself with its stained glass and dark wood. Menu items run the $25 dollar range and include a vegetable side, if not pasta. We... More

We ate here several times, the bar is fantastic – old wood details and molding, stained glass windows, mosaic tiled floors, etc. A step back in time. AND the food was really good; highly recommend the salads, burgers, and the spicy andoille sausage tomato soup.

Beer there is amazing (tried 2 IPAs and both were solid). Food was good, but mine was served lukewarm if not cold (osso Bucco that was clearly pre-made and an attempt to reheat was not fully successful). Very tasty though.

We were drawn in by the reviews of this historic interior. We were not disappointed. The food was tasty, the beer great and the waitress even better. She gave us a great historic overview of this building when we asked. This is a great choice for dinner or drinks. If you love stunning interiors and places with a history, check... More

I just returned from Ireland where I got the Guinness bug. Found this interesting looking bar and decided to try their hand crafted brew. Dark Force Lager it's pretty close to the Guinness I have grown to love.doesn't have quite the depth but it is still an enjoyable beer. The Restaurant serves really good food presented by friendly and knowledgeable... More

Working downtown, I have lunch here several times a year. Good place for a group of 4-8 people to celebrate birthdays and such. It's also a good place to wait out traffic after work. Its beer selection--all house brews is among Columbus' best and arranged on the menu from lightest to darkest, making it easy for the average person to... More

We had a very large group there for a mid-week dinner. We had reservations, so we were seated promptly. From start to finish, the staff was excellent with attentive service and helpful hints with the menu and beer selections. Our team had a variety of options from the menu and everyone joyed their meal. I had the house salad with... More

We were doing the tourist thing in downtown Columbus and looked on our phones to see what eateries were near us and the Elevator popped up. We were blown away by the rich and well preserved interior. The place was jammed but we got a seat at the bar. Good service and good food at a reasonable price. We even... More
