We were recently in Cleveland for a wedding and wanted to see some of the sites. We went to the Public Market, but not up for the standing and eating scene that was there, so we searched "best restaurant in the area" and The Black Pig came up. They were not wrong. Great music ( Talking Heads radio station) great... More

My wife and I went to The Black Pig for the first time this weekend. It is the latest restaurant to open in the former Parker's location in Ohio City. Our waitress was great, very helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately, the food and wine were just fairly average. The menu was a bit limited other than the obvious emphasis on pork.... More

The best part of this meal was the salad appetizer of mixed greens, apples, and pears. The other appetizer of pork belly was OK, but only OK. My wife's tenderloin of pork came with an interesting mix of grains and beet - my entrée was a pork chop that was cooked beyond edible. A shame - they're probably usually more... More

In short, best food I have had in a long time. Hard to get pricing... so read on. I am always skeptical of places that do not put their prices on their website. Then I read some reviews that say "pricey". Ahhhh - not helpful at all! I went here for a Saturday dinner, set up by friends. Here is... More

Really enjoyed sitting at the bar. Enjoyed some of the small dishes. Duck and foie gras was wonderful. Would have like a little more foie gras to make it perfect. Nice wine and beer menu. Specialty cocktails were very interesting and good. Bourbon barrel aged gin drink was very nice and generous with the alcohol. Bar reminded me of a... More

Sat at the bar and split some small plates and pork collar entree. The agnolotti was very good and the collar was amazing. The server/bartender was very knowledgable on the food and drinks. I would highly recommend.

In a building that once housed Parkers and The Light Bistro The Black Pig is getting close to being a great place. The building and interior have not changed much in the past 15 years - a good thing-the food has now is an eclectic mix of interesting pork recipes but lacking the side supporting dishes to make it balances... We did a sampling of their foods by getting the fingering potatoes, pork meatballs and their pork tenderloin. Each one was superb!

This is a cute neighbourhood place with a wonderful menu and great service. It feels cosy and like locals go all the time which is great because it means the chef really needs to try. The menu is heavy on pork (great for us) and there is a "weekly pig" menu - dishes the chef makes from the rare breed... More

Fortunately we enjoyed the company of our friends but not the service or food at this restaurant. Our server, an English gal, was pleasant but not very good. Service was slow and inattentive. Half way thru dinner we asked about getting bread which arrived after we were done eating. We ordered about 8:00 only to be informed they were out... More
