we recently held my son Jason's 21'st birthday at this beautiful venue. this was a fantastic night , enjoyed by everyone. This family owned and run business is a credit to CHRIS , MICHEAL, AND THEIR VERY TALENTED HEAD CHEF DAUGHTER,, TARA. THEY WERE VERY...ACCOMODATING FROM THE START OF PLANNING THE OCCASION , TO WAITING ON ALL OF OUR GUESTS HAND AND FOOT FOR THE DURATION OF THE NIGHT.THE MEALS WERE DELICIOUS AND of generous size. THE GROUNDS ARE BEAUTIFUL, a very relaxing place , I can not thank these wonderful people enough for their hospitality.I'm certain there will be many return customers from the night.i personally will be going back , as there are many other dishes on the menu that sound very interesting. thanks so much ,very kind regards, Sheryl, Jason and LaurenMore

Well named and great.

We called in on the way to the wineries on the spur of the moment and are so glad that we did. Really friendly staff squeezed us in despite lots of booking and we were lucky enough to be there for the Friday lunchtime special...menu. We both chose the Barramundi coated in Panko & lemon crumbs, cooked perfectly with a nice salad and chips. We washed it down with glasses of local whites from the area. Total bill - $45.90. We will return! They only open Thursday to Sunday, so it pays to book. The garden is a tropical delight and the whole area a credit to the owners. Quite lovely.More

Outstanding food and staff

Excellent staff, very knowledgeable about their menu and extremely helpful. Food was sensational, we shared the baked Camembert with poached pear, honey, walnuts (normally also includes prosciutto), thoroughly enjoyed. As a vegetarian I had the crepes which were delicious and the other diner had the...pinko crumbed chicken schnitzel, needless to say we were both very happy with our meals - to say the least. We could not leave without trying the lemon curd tart with strawberry and black pepper ice cream and meringue OMG the pastry, lemon curd and all other elements were out of this world. Highly recommend this restaurant, whilst it is a bit of a drive, it is well worth it. Thank you to the fantastic staff, well done, will definitely try to make it back.More

If you haven't been, make the trip.

Hubby and I enjoyed a fabulous meal here last night. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the setting is absolutely beautiful and the food very tasty, fresh, and nicely presented. There were several groups of diners there as well as couples, and all were having...a great time.More

A hidden gem

Wow what a surprise. Friends asked us to join them for lunch and oh boy are we dld they did. Oasis is approx 7.5 kilometres from Strathalbyn and is a little off the road but well signed. The grounds are well set out, the restaurant...is light and airy and although a very cold day inside was well heated with a slow combustion stove and heaters. Service was fast, friendly and efficient with our orders being taken promptly. We settled for two of the Friday lunch specials ($14.90) and coffee and cake (10.99) being Barramundi with rustic chips and salad and creamy chicken pie with seasonal veggies and rustic chips, for desert we had a match stick and banoffee pie. Food was well presented fresh and hot, definitely worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed.More

Great choice for a last minute decision

Early Friday evening so let's have someone else do the cooking! Down to the Oasis and put our faith in the chef. Ordered the beef sirloin & when asked how I would like it done, I responded "let chef decide" - delivered cooked to perfection,...rare but just leaning a little toward rare to medium/rare, moist and tender! The other half had the Indian Butter Chicken Maryland, warning - you'll need to be hungry to get through this one. Good choice of deserts. Service is efficient, attentive and unobtrusive. The Oasis team know their craft. Highly recommend.More

Lovely venue with good food

We finally had the opportunity to catch up with friends at the Oasis and weren't disappointed. Driving up it wasn't hard to find as it literally is an oasis in the area. Plenty of free parking with disability parking very close to the restaurant. Prompt...and friendly attention to our needs was well received during the course of our meal. Of the four of us we all ordered different meals and each was presented together and all commented on the quality and quantity as excellent. Unfortunately we were all too satisfied that we couldn't fit in dessert as enticing as they appeared on the menu but indulged in a milkshake and iced coffees instead. Well worth the drive to visit again in the near future. We understand they regularly have guest performers so may need to find the time to attend one of these soon.More

What a lovely surprise!

Tucked away in a tropical setting, Oasis Gardens lives up to its name. It's a lovely tranquil place to relax over a leisurely lunch. The service is warm and friendly, the food and wine menus feature local produce, and the overall quality of the cuisine...more than acceptable.
