Lovely fish and chips, best we've had in a long time. Will definitely have them again. They also come in great brown boxes for ease of eating (no plates needed!) which of course can then be recycled.

What's not to like? Nicely cooked fish and chips, in a clean and pleasant dining area .... and you can have a glass of wine, or a beer with your meal. Our waiter was friendly, cheerful and witty - and made the visit even more...More

Excellent food and service - There are a number of George's Franchise cropping up around the East Midlands but few come anywhere near the setting of this, the original (and best). Always clean, friendly and attentive staff and good value for money.

Enjoyed the fish which was served with chunky chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea. Excellent value for money and the staff were polite and friendly. The premises are spotlessly clean.

We found a parking space opposite and popped into the restaurant for fish and chips - it came with a cup of tea, bread and either peas or gravy and was very tasty!
