Very varied lunchtime menu and the ones we picked were superb. Fish & Chips was too big to finish; Gammon and Egg was enormous and best of all, my Tattie Pot. The staff were brilliant. Well worth the 280 mile round trip from Wigan

Very friendly landlord, very attentive and could not do enough on our lunchtime visit in September. Lit the fire and Lit candles to ensure we were comfortable during our lunch. The food was good pub food and very filling. Dog friendly as well.

Came across this lovely tavern purely by chance. Superb Sunday lunch and the staff were all brilliant. Friendly caring and considerate throughout the whole meal. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. And the Lavern is also dog friendly.
