We called at Street for lunch whilst visiting Nantwich. A weekday afternoon, the place was completely dead.
We were greeted by a friendly waitress who passed us the menus and allowed us to choose where we wanted to sit. You go to the bar to order and pay then wait for your number to be called from the kitchen, a good system as you’re not waiting to be served or to pay the final bill. The menu has plenty to choose from, american smokehouse, mexican and Asian.
The brisket burger was huge and very tasty. There are sauces on the side just help yourself, but no bbq sauce. The fries were hot and a good portion.
We enjoyed our meals and shall return. One element I didn’t like was how dark the restaurant is. Also £5 for a bottle of cider is quite excessive.

Gone downhill. Usually this place is great and would recommend but won't be going back again!! Food just about warm...it was sat on trays ready to be carried to the table for 10 mins. And it wasn't busy, only one other table in at the same time. Chicken burger dry and over cooked. One of the meals had short stubby overcooked chips, the ones you get at the bottom of the bag.
They didn't have in what I originally ordered when I asked at the end if there was a price difference I was only refunded half the difference!!
Then sat for another 20 mins looking at the dirty trays whilst we were finishing our drinks....not at all worth the £5 they added on the bill for service charge!!

Very good stop here before Bonfire Night, we enjoyed the food and the service was good too, they remembered the additional burrito fillings we asked for.
The burritos were nice, I had a spicy chicken and my partner the pulled pork one, mine was a touch dry but still enjoyable, my partner loved hers. Friends also had assorted burritos and agreed they were good, satisfying meals. The Salt and Pepper wings were cooked nicely but didn’t have that salt and pepper hit, but still enjoyable. The ‘I’m a Bhaji Girl’ fries were great, they were something a bit different and really, really good.
Word to the wise; the loaded fries are massive and constitute a main meal in and of itself, so if ordering as a side like I did it can definitely do two people, my eyes were bigger than my belly in ordering a main, wings and loaded fries, but with the prices being so reasonable I expected to get less food. They’ve also got Asahi and Blue Moon available to drink, great selection.
Good service, good food, good night. Will be back again and will be less greedy with the order!

This is unfortunately my first ever negative review on Trip Advisor, however I was so disappointed with my meal at Street that I thought it was important to share. Luckily we booked on a Monday (Eat Out to Help Out scheme) as I’d definitely not have paid full price.
To begin, I understand that many restaurants have digital ordering service in order to avoid contact, however this was tricky as my phone was broken. When asking if I was able to order directly with the staff, I was told that if I did, I’d perhaps be charged full price for my meal (instead of the 50% government discount) as there’s a ‘glitch in the till’. How are people without smart phones meant to order? Luckily, my friend offered to order my meal for me on her phone.
This would have been great if the website was working. We were told that unfortunately the website was down - this meant we couldn’t even view the menu. When looking online, we found the menu before covid, however no restricted menu was available to see. I understand it is not the restaurant’s fault that their website is down, but we were not offered any help or alternative method of ordering. We waited at least 35 minutes before we were even able to view a menu. Little help was given by the staff.
Finally, when our food arrived, it was unfortunately tasteless. The Katsu Curry was watery and we had to ask for salt and pepper to give it flavour. I’d heard amazing things about Street so was so excited to eat there, however was extremely disappointed. In addition, there were many small things throughout our meal which were frustrating - no cutlery was brought to our table after our food arrived so we had to ask, no ice in our drinks, being told a meal has sold out AFTER paying for it via the website. There was just very little attention to detail.
I’d definitely not return, and even felt cheated paying with the 50% discount.

We visited Street with myself, my partner and 3 friends. First of all, we were seated in the outdoor area (due to COVID-19) now this would have been acceptable if they had provided adequate heating facilities, instead we were given skimpy blankets and offered for hot water bottles to be filled up and sat away from the only 2 tiny heaters out there, baring in mind we visited the first week in December and the temperatures were between 1-2 degrees at night. We did request to be sat inside, on separate tables as due to covid rules but this was quickly denied without any inclination to cater for us, stating that there were no tables inside available yet throughout the night the place didn’t get any busier! So unless Street have invisible customers then I don’t see why this would have been an issue. This brings me onto the point, that all staff inside were quite rude, non-attentive and seemed very uninterested in general. Before visiting Street, we had looked on social media at the food offered and browsed the menu and it all seemed promising. However, this was far from the reality. Food was very average and underwhelming, and we could have had better at home or gone to a local weatherspoons and had the same quality of food for a fraction of the price. Also, cocktails were overpriced fruit juice with no hint of alcohol and for £7+ I would have expected much much better. As a whole, the presentation of the food is the only positive I can take from Street, and shall not be in any rush to return!

Used to be one of the best in Nantwich but what do you expect of a cook on his own with no kitchen assistant. He prepares everything for what appears to be a medium sized restaurant. Very unfair. The cole slaw had gone bad but we did not complain out of pity for the poor chap who prepared such an elaborate menu for close of ten people!

Decided to pop in with the kids as a treat for tea. Cost over £50 for the 4 of us. My chicken burger came out black; absolutely burnt to a crisp.
I sent it back and therefore had to wait 10 mins for a new one and eat separately to the rest of my family. The meals for kids and hubby were very mediocre....nothing special at all. Second time around my chicken was better but i wasn't asked once if meal was okay. Dirty trays/plates sat there and we were not asked if we wanted anything else. My 5 year old chased the lady and asked for a desert menu....she was told "it's donuts or churros". So we ordered donuts with choc sauce. Waited 15 mins for them. When they arrived my poor 4 and 5 year old daughters said "mum it's yuck". I tried one and realised they were burnt and inedible. Complained to the waitress who ran off. My husband had to co.ain directly to the manager at the till. Shocking service and food.

Ordered a takeaway collection from this restaurant for the first time. Burger was far too raw, the chicken was burnt in the burrito. The chips were soaked in the sauce to the point they were uneditable as the sauce was so Smokey also made the chips so soggy. ( cold also).
Contacted the restaurant and explained, I’m not one to leave bad reviews and I tried to resolve it between us, and left my feedback. The restaurant ignored my messages on several occasions. I was polite and did try to resolve with the restaurant directly however after 4 days of trying to make contact I informed the restaurant that I was shocked by their customer service and that despite me trying to resolve with them, they did not want to know.
I was sent a message with a ‘ thumbs up’ emoji which speaks volumes about the attitude of the restaurant.
Personally I would avoid, it’s not the cheapest of places and the food doesn’t live up to the price, and to be met with such rude ignorant staff just makes it even more unjustified.
Would not recommend.

I really love the food at street, it’s usually really tasty and I like that you get such a huge portion for what you pay, even if they go a bit over the top with the spring onions on everything.
I can always find something to eat as the menu is really varied, but I’d say the katsu curry needs thickening slightly and it can be a little watery, but other than that I do love it all and as I said, it’s very fairly priced. The fries are always delicious!
However, as much as I understand that it’s “street” food and you therefore experience it in the same way, the restaurant is uncomfortable, the seating is rickety and uncomfortable and there is always always always a draft, even in summer. I always have to wrap up to go there because it’s just freezing which for me really ruins the experience. I also find the darkness quite cosy at times but having to use your phone torch to see the menu is a pain. Lights please…even just little lamps at the tables.

Absolutely love this place, the bao buns are amazing and my partner loves the loaded fries too.
For the price you pay the portion sizes are great and food is always tasty, I recently went to London and could not find a place similar with food this tasty.
all staff are friendly and welcoming and my boys love the camper van.
I would 100% recommend.

The food was great (massive portions). Group of 6 and we all ordered something different everything came out promptly and cooked well. The only reason I gave a 4 star review instead of 5 star was the restaurant is very dark (we sat at the back near the kitchen) it was difficulty to make out everything on the plate. The darkness wouldn't make a difference if we went in for just drinks, but a little more light for dining would have been nice.

Just back from a meal with family… 1 hour after ordering food arrived, was asked if all ok which at the time it was as we were eating our wings. Other food awful! Big brisket burger with loaded fries - burger absolutely freezing! Fries the same. Dirty mother clucker - was for our teenager, she doesn’t enjoy her food hot - good job really, but since discovered that it didn’t have the double patty as advertised. Hot chick burrito - plenty of raw peppers and lettuce, guacamole and that’s about it other than a tiny bit of chicken, had that with bhaji fries which were cold fries, cheese that had melted and gone hard again, then a squashed onion bhaji and some curry sauce! We’ve been here before but alarm bells should have rang when at 1pm in school holidays the place was empty until we arrived. When we went to pay was offered a discount which we declined as could see the food was not eaten, went to get us a manager from across the road who wouldn’t even come and speak to us instead took the chap in to a back room and told him to remove the meals that weren’t eaten from the bill. Over all awful.. we’ve been before and it was amazing, when we said this we were told that the chefs had recently walked out and that they were using dodgy equipment.. no wonder chefs walked out!! Needs brightening up, staffing issues sorting out and advertising more get it back to what it used to be - amazing!!

We booked some tables for our friends 30th birthday! The food was incredible, such good value for money, and a great selection, burgers, burritos, noodles, wings … the lot 😊 The staff were excellent, very helpful suggesting good drinks to go with our food, all really happy to be there and the cocktails they made were lovely!!
Can not speak highly enough of the whole experience! We will definitely be going back 😊

Sadly after six years of visiting here, this may be our last. The standards over the past 12 months have deteriorated, with not only price increases but cost cutting as well. The Mother Clucker burger used to be a double buttermilk fried chicken burger with cheese, crispy onions and BBQ sauce. It came out as a cheap and nasty butterfly chicken with no cheese and onions that looked like they came off a burger van. The picture taken below from the wall is what the burger used to look like, and what we were served up. The burger cost £15, which is ridiculous considering what was served up. The brisket burger was tiny compared to the dirty burger style of past. The beef was a frozen patty and no where near the quality that it used to be. The coleslaw was also missing.
We were offered a free drink as compensation. The woman serving was apologetic and understood our complaint but even on a second burger arriving, it wasn't much better. Clearly the chef/standards have changed and it is sad. There are much better burgers now at Red Cow and The Leopard on Nantwich for a quid or so more with real chips and table service.
The appeal of Street was cheap and good quality food but that is no longer the case. If this keeps up, the place will be shut in the next 12 months as we certainly won't be returning after being regular customers.

Overpriced and dreadful food. Chicken was dreadfully overcooked. The noodles were undercooked my sons burger was burnt. Overall a disastrous visit. Please look at the reviews - I think it’s fair to say that Street Nantwich is a very inconsistent place to eat. My advice would be to avoid at all costs!
