I've reviewed the food under the hotels section, but it's worth re-recommending it under the correct area. The main courses are wonderful (but not sure about the wooden boards it's served on, I prefer proper plates!) and the puddings are a delight too! Staff always give you a warm welcome. Be warned that it can get busy, but that's a... More

I've been intrigued to try The badger many times as I drive home past it every night. We decided on a last minute date night . The staff were so friendly, food and wine gorgeous. We both had starters and main courses. I wish I could of fitted in a desert. The pub had a lovely atmosphere. Will 100% be... More

The Badger has been our go to restaurant whenever friends and family come to stay. A few months ago we went to the Badger with some friends from Canada. We did not order any starters but had to wait for about an hour for our main course. The restaurant was not full so this was a puzzle but we just... More

We usually use The Plough in Whitegate for Sunday Lunch and it rarely lets us down. We decided though to try Davids sister pub, The Badger and oh, were we disappointed! The food was ok, although the food delivered was not what the menu (or the ditsy waitress said it was going to be). The service seriously let our dining... More

We went to celebrate a family birthday as large party (17 adults & 2 children)with two young children. Staff were great even managing to seat a further two people as organiser had miscounted. Nice part was that staff catered for children in advance of others and then kept coming back to help entertain them as they finished their respective meals.... More

Ten of the Old Codgers revisited the Badger. We were not disappointed. As usual the welcome was friendly and the surroundings pleasant. The village of Church Minshull is quite small yet the restaurant soon filled up. With an excellent menu of superb dishes this is hardly surprising. Obviously the nearby towns of Crewe, Nantwich and Winsford are attracted to the... More

Eat here 3 times during the summer, not had a bad meal yet. Food is good value especially the Sunday lunch. Drinks are also very competitively priced which makes for a nice change. The dining room is lovely but some of the tables for two are a little restricted. The only slight criticism is that the staff whilst friendly aren't... More

Visited while on the Shropshire canal. A short walk down across the River Weaver. The food and ales at the Badger are excellent (Titanic Plum Porter). Service was good even on a busy Saturday evening. Will return on our way back from Middlewich.

A great atmosphere good beers and good food with a wide choice on the menu. The bar was friendly and had modern touches that made you want to stay. Plenty of room and good seating. Well worth a visit.
