Went for dinner with friends on Good Friday, and had a great meal. Beer very good too. Really delighted to see how the pub has turned round in the last twelve months.

The best Dover Sole I have ever had! If you like fish meals, you can't go wrong. The decor is very tired but the beer is well kept. Highly recommended - but not for a posh night out.

Description
The Red Lion is a traditional English pub serving good ale, wine and exceptional food. We pride ourselves in using fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Having run a fish restaurant for over fifteen years, fish stands prominently on the menu. We are open every day for food.
