I fancied a Prawn Pad Thai and, on a Tuesday evening, what better place than the Eagle where I can exercise my little grey cells as well. A large glass of lovely Rioja completed the experience. A pleasant evening, even if I didn't win the...More

Thanks to everyone working the other night, giving the place a warm and friendly atmosphere. I came down to have a drink or two and have to say I will definitely be returning.

Had a private party on Saturday night with 85 guests. Great night, enough staff to keep the drink flowing, I would highly recommend it. The food is amazing as well.

Went here recently for a private party. Two bar areas with a lovely open fire to sit by. The Thai food we had was delicious and a nice selection of beers and cider. Lovely place and will be back for more food!

We visited on a Friday evening after being told by friends that the Thai menu was very good. We were not disappointed and the menu had lots of choices and good value. Quality of food far better than the local Thai restaurants and we would...More

Nobody in restaurant section - informed us the tables were all booked then we questioned time (and lack of reserved signs) they said other diners might complain about a dog. Definitely not in keeping with the dog friendly clientel around Amersham. We left.

Presumably fancied supporting a member of the family or maybe just unable to accept the reality of a genuine earlier response !!

Went for lunch today and all the tables in the dining room were empty, however, since we had a dog we were told they were all reserved and we'd have to sit in the grungy, dark bar area. Apparently the other diner's (of which there...More

Well ,well ,well. What an absolutely sour faced miserable bunch of comments from an individual who visited The Eagle on Sunday together with his very large unkempt noisy dog. He believes that to make derogatory comments about food that he has never sampled is acceptable...More

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening here on Saturday night. Two of us came in for a Thai meal - one who had never visited England before, and so this was her first experience of a traditional English Pub. We absolutely loved the food - very tasty...More

It is advisable to book, certainly on a Saturday as last orders into the kitchen are at 8.30.

If you are looking for a good real ale pub with Wi-Fi in the steeped in history town of Old Amersham, why not call into The Eagle. We have at least two real ales on tap and NEW to The Eagle for 2015 we are excited to introduce our brand new Authentic Thai Cuisine We pride ourselves also on our beautiful garden. Our garden is probably the most attractive of any pub in Old Amersham and overlooks Barn Meadow recreation ground to which direct access is available from our back gate via the foot bridge over the River Misbourne
