So for dessert we tried her fresh coconut and the salty caramel. While it was a... More

The best fish and shrimp tacos in town. Homemade ice cream daily. This is a regular lunch stop for us when we're in Akumal. I could eat here every day!

The best ice cream in Akumal. Good portions and low prices. Lucy's sits beside an outdoor "flea market" which is cool to stroll around while you eat your ice cream.

The signs are a bit confusing; when you look for Lucy's Kitchen it does not seem to be there, except for a chalk board near the Turtle Bay Cafe listing ice cream flavors. We asked, and about 1.5 years ago Turtle Bay and Lucy's merged. Great shrimp and fish tacos and yes, terrific salted caramel ice cream! A popular spot.... More

Happened upon this shack and yes it is a shack but the food is fresh, cheap and great...the ice cream is out of this world, try the salted caramel!

Akamul is a must visit and after swimming with the turtles in the bay, head to Lucy's kitchen. We went for the shrimp tacos but it was after hours so only ice cream was on offer. I had fresh coconut and fresh mango and it was the best ice cream I've had. I was in Rome a few months earlier... More

Been to Lucy's ice cream stand only and it is the best, bar none, ice cream I have ever had. Only drawback is that it closes during low season, as we found out last week. Look forward to visiting them again in December!!

We came hungry for fish tacos but were bummed out learning they only had ice cream left. Hunger took over after an afternoon at the beach so we went for some ice cream and thank goodness we did! It is delicious, creamy and gives San Francisco high end ice cream a run for its money! The vanilla nut crunch and... More
