I can't speak to anything on the menu besides (1) the fish tacos, and (2) the pitcher of margaritas. However, both were so good that we went back two days later and ordered it all over again. The service is lightning fast, the fish is fresh, and the margaritas are really legit. If you're stumbling around Akumal looking for a... More

Was really looking forward to a great fish dinner on our last night in Akumal. Thought this would be good based on reviews but left really disappointed. Prices are good and it's a nice spot. That's about all I can say. I've had some wonderful fish dinners on this trip but this wasn't one of them. Three of us had... More

We were recommended by our rep to go to this place, we both had the mixed Cerviche (A cold fish platter with coriander and lemon, Ceviche is a seafood dish popular in the coastal regions of the Americas, especially Central and South America. The dish is typically made from fresh raw fish cured in citrus juices, such as lemon or... More

A local place that has been serving fresh whole fried fish, its great, not too grease and goes down very well with Margaritas or Beer. Its located right in Akumal, its worth to visit, not to pricy. Cash is preferred - I recommend visiting

We had been voluntarily imprisoned in a local all inclusive resort and were desperate to go to an authentic low key restaurant with friendly service and tasty seafood. We were not disappointed!!

But the menu needs to be changed. We have been coming for years..... And mero should be mero not catfish! The staff is great.

We've been going to Akumal for about 10 years. The food, especially the seafood, at La Cueva is very delicious. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is casual. We especially like it for lunch, but also enjoy dinner. Margaritas and other bar drinks very good. You can't miss with this one!

Cheap and really good! We ate fish that we caught and had a beer. Grilled fish and ceviche were delicious.

At walking distance from the beach, we have eaten here twice. Prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is very good. You can come here for a few meal at dinner time or a small bite (quesadillos) for lunch. A very pleasant place with a good and relaxed atmosphere.
