Tabarka's new location is walking distance from the town center. The seafood is outstanding . The Paella even better. And the 'all you can eat' tapas is great value. This is aa
We have heard about this restaurant for the last 4 months..all great things.. We are leaving soon..thought we should try..and experience Tapas for the first time..( there are a lot more items on the menu.) We had some tasty food...all choices of the Chef of the day..First time tasting some of the items... enjoyed this experience a lot..I am pretty... More
Lovely, relaxing garden view venue...LOVE the tapas. Sometimes the service is a little slow, but I believe that the food is worth the wait.
My experience is close to what many others have reviewed recently. First, you walk into a beautiful courtyard with large trees and big art work everywhere. The food was pretty good. We had the tapas special. All the food was very good, not mind blowing. The service was slow and inconsistent for a restaurant that only had about a quarter... More
Three of us stopped for an early dinner in their very nice courtyard. The menu is shown on a chalkboard and needs explanation to make sense of it -- several grilled meats and fishes with choice of sauce and choice of two sides. There is also an option for 6 or 12 tapas, the particulars of which were beyond our... More
Thak,s for your opinión, we gona work hard to have a better service. More
Second visit to Ajijic. First was 4years ago and the restaurant scene was disappointing. We live in San Miguel de Allende and stopped in Ajijic on the way to the beach. Tabarka was really fabulous. We had the chef's choice tapas menu and each plate was special. We would go back here without a doubt. We shared 8 different plates,... More

The new location is very handy. Greeted by the owner/chef personally. The setting is modest but it's the food that is the attraction. We've had pallea several places in Spain and this was as good or better. Half an hour wait but it's worth it as our order was individually prepared.
My wife and I had Dinner there the other night. We had the Chef's Special Tapas 12 Plates. Was only 10 took 2 hours and if these Tapas are a reflection of the rest of the menu we weren't impressed. i hate to knock a restaurant because I know they work hard but with the other available restaurants to compete...
