The people here that put down this restaurant are obviously very picky. It was good chinese food at a good price. The veggies and chicken were fresh and flavourful, the general tao was good, the rice tasty, the egg rolls and won ton was fresh and cooked well. The waitress saw us waiting patiently when they have a huge take out order, so she brought us complementary egg rolls. You know its good when the city police eat there! There was one seated next to us. We will be back!

Ok place. Nice view of the river

My wife and I were out for a leisurely Saturday drive and we felt a little hungry. We found China Garden on our GPS so we gave it a try. It is an old building with Formica tables. It is right on the Rochleau River with a nice view of the boat traffic. The waitress spoke passable English so we got along fine. The menu was mostly in both English and French. We had wonton soup, egg rolls and a shrimp with lobster sauce and pineapple chicken. The soup was ok; the egg rolls were good. The chicken had never met a pineapple. There were an ample number of chicken pieces (small breaded balls of chicken) and a sauce that had no pineapple flavor. The shrimp were good and quite large and tender. The sauce was good although it contained ground beef, which I did not expect. Price was good.

Your typical chinese take-out restaurant. The menu itself is very standard fare for a fast-food Chinese take-out restaurant. There is also a dining room if you prefer to sit-in but be forewarned this place has not been renovated since we lost Elvis so don't expect much in that department. The food is good and the staff does a fair job but as others have mentionned you'll need to practice your french. If you are looking for a buffet look elsewhere they only do a-la-carte.

This restaurant dates back many years and has never been updated that I can recall. The restaurant was not clean (may be different today as I believe they were serviced a notice by the Quebec Government. Ordered take-out food from this location while on sight and will not return.

The food here is really basic, bland and gooey. There is a lot of food for the price, but the quality is not there. The server was nice, but very French, not an anglo friendly spot. The atmosphere is stuffy. The crowd is on the older side and the decor is a mix of very old furniture and fittings.
