I went there after a hectic day in the world congress and was treated to a delightful and fun atmosphere. The taster menu was a delight allowing us to experience the traditional local cuisine and some lovely glazed meets with their local produced maple syrup. The spoon music was fun and the simple entertainment led to a fun evening partying... More

As a kid growing up in Montreal, we'd visit a sugar shack every Spring. It really wasn't the end of winter without this annual tradition. As I moved out of the province, I've craved this sweet sugar-ladden ritual that they just don't know how to do properly anywhere near Toronto. I've tried many sucreries over the years but this one,... More

I went there on April 15th, 2017 with my family. Even though the price is more expensive than others (43.69$ tax included), I thought that the sugar shack must be good since I heard a lot of good things about it. I even have a friend who went there and loved it. So I told myself why not give it... More

We visited on a beautiful warm sunny Sunday and was glad we arrived around 10:30. Do go directly to get your tickets even if you have reservations. There are multiple buildings to explore. The grounds are quite vast with walking trails. Food was very good and service was very efficient. We were in the early group for seating and were... More

The "sugar shack" experience is a once a year (or less) type of outing for me best enjoyed with friends and family from abroad. That said, when the crowd is right I look forward to gorging myself on tourtière, eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes and sugar pie all swimming in copious glugs of maple syrup. Throw in some fiddle music and... More

We visited during high season on a Sunday . The setting is very pretty. There are 2 services on a Sunday . Ambiance Is Very good. Traditional food was better than a lot of other places we have been except the desserts. They only serve pancakes and sugar pie .It is a bit more expensive than other sugar shacks but you... More

We arrived on an empty parking at 18h. Walk thru the forest parc. It was a desert, an empty quarter. Even the box office was closed. We went to the restaurant, all lights turned off, nobody to welcome us. In conclusion, it was like shooting the new Freddy movie: The dark killing at La Sucrerie de la Montagne...

From the long rough tables to the solo folk singer everything was terrific. Our server was very pleasant and efficient, the food was abundant and delicious. The atmosphere was warm and cozy (even though there were lots of people). There was lots to see outdoors, and the kids seemed to be having lots of fun. The price is a little... More

I have gone to this place about 12 years ago and went again this weekend. The food is amazing and they bring enough for everyone to be extremely full. The pea soup and fresh homemade bread come first and it is the best! The whole meal and experience was wonderful. There was live music and to toast up, there is... More

Our family decided to enjoy a Québécois treat, a day trip to Sucrerie de la Montagne. I booked a couple of days in advance to ensure we had good weather. It was a beautiful sunny day as we drove up to Rigaud for a 10:00 am seating. When we arrived in the parking lot there was a horse drawn trailer... More
