We had one of the best meals of our trip at Le Patriarche! The restaurant is really cute, in a little 19th century house right near the water (with beautiful views of the river!). You have to reserve because it's a small kitchen and they make everything to order. We went in the off-season and were very impressed that the... More

If I could give this restaurant 6 stars I would! Absolutely amazing food. They stagger the reservations so that the kitchen is never overwhelmed and service divine. I had the smoked lamb consommé with truffled ravioli as my starter and I'm still dreaming about it. Hubby had the sweetbreads to start which he is still raving about. His bouillabaisse was... More

We arrived at the restaurant and found that it was small but quaint. The food overall was very good but the service was lacking in professionalism and competency. The waitress got a portion of our order wrong but the chef refused to acknowledge the error and passed the message on to the unexperienced waitress. We felt rushed to leave. Bill... More

My father and I came to Le Patriarche for dinner while on vacation, and the visit was the most delightful dining experience from our trip through the region (including Quebec City). The food was exquisite, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. I highly recommend this restaurant as a must-go while in the area (or even... More

Very attentive service and intimate setting. Beautiful presentation. Picturesque location by the water. Overall a lovely meal. As a side note, I would recommend getting rid of plastic table covers.

We had a wonderful dinner here last week. A lovely display these plates are, and wonderful flavors too. So glad we tried out this place. Ending the evening with amazing desserts. This is a place not to missed.

Went to Le Patriarche for dinner when visiting La Malbaie and we were so glad that we did. The house from the 1900's that it is in is so cute and lovely, the service was impeccable and the food delicious. The baked brie in the pretzel bun and the seafood chowder were to die for. We would most certainly come... More

We had an excellent dinner here. Nice decor. Waiter was very helpful to explain menu for us and spoke English well. The bouillabaisse was delicious, sauce very good flavor and lots of seafood in it. Salad to start yummy.

What an evening! Meal, service, cleanliness all were tops. Shrimps and salmon were excellent! Each vegetable (6 diff ones) had its own spin and was just as good. Rack of lamb out of this world, cascade of scallops just too good. Desserts were on the same high level as the main entrées, trio de crème brûlée, pouding chômeur (maple syrup)........ More

This was the best meal that we had in our two week holiday in Canada! The restaurant was closed Monday/Tuesday (I guess it was out of the main season) but we had a table on our last evening in La Malbaie, and it was very special. The food was fantastic and the owner was very helpful and friendly. There is... More
