I came across this place quite by accident, looking for a place to grab some lunch en route to points west when I noticed the large "open" sign of the GVI and decided to give it a try. I was struck by the general ambiance of the place - with all of the best features one would associate with a... More

What a charming period home converted into two separate suites (ground and second floors). Really nice renovation, with a mix of historic character and moder amenities. We stayed on the ground floor, beautiful walk-out to the garden. Only two drawbacks - you can hear everything going on upstairs and there is no WiFi (apparently, the owners decided that people don't... More

The environment is a gracious balance of rustic elegance. The service was friendly and attentive. The chef is a magician. Even the simple mixed greens salad was "just right". I had the mushroom tarragon cream soup - truly one of the most delicious meals I've had in my life! Will definitely return!

I live near by and this was a great place to go and have breakfast, My daughter and/or son and I would have breakfast three or four times a week, but since the new owners every visit has been a disappointment to our orders taking 2 hours to inexperienced/unfriendly wait staff and a terrible new cook/chef. The last time visiting... More

Here is a list of everything that went wrong with our one (and only) visit to this restaurant: 1.The tea came and the water was cold (and it was meant to be hot tea) 2. Waited almost an hour for the meal 3. We were two; the next table of four arrived after us, received and finished their meals before... More

I was at the Village in for Sunday brunch with friends recently and sadly it is not what it used to be, when it was a good place for a leisurely meal with friends. Our server was snippy and wanted to know if we were "happy"!The food for brunch was not well prepared and the quantities huge. I opted for... More

This was the first time I have been back in one year. The last visit was such a disaster that I have been reluctant to return. So needing a place gorgeous easy access for a disabled person, I thought Grafton inn. We waited a long time for food. This was not complicated food. Eggs florentine and do up and a... More
