When traveling East to West on the Cabot Trail, Angie's Family Restaurant showed up at just the right time. It is clean but not fancy. Maybe 8 tables and the family runs the whole thing. The food was good, the service fast and the restroom spotless.

My husband and I visited this restaurant after going up to Meat Cove and learning that the famous Chowder Hut, where we had planned to eat lunch, had recently burned down. We were famished so we started to look for somewhere else to eat and soon found out that mostly everything was closed on that particular day of the week.... More

My friend and I cam here for a late lunch, to be fair to the small place, there was only one waitress, for about 8 tables. However, after 40 min we left, after seeing a couple who came in after us, be served food, when our order hadn't even been taken.

We arrived early morning for breakfast with our 1 & 1/2 year old toddler in the middle of the pouring rain. Cozy, welcoming, and exactly what we needed. I didn't get the kind lady's name who was taking care of us but she was so lovely and absolutely wonderful to us and our very, very busy son. After she brought... More

We visited at supper time and were seated at the last table. Service was a little on the slow side but the food was worth the wait. It would be nice to see the place expanded as there were at least 4 customers that were turned away due to the restaurant being full. Would eat here again for sure.

We went here because it looked like a quaint friendly place. A big sign that said FREH LOBSTER was out front and we were excited to try some seafood. We walk in, we are the only people there. We are greeted by Angie, with a smile, but she looked unhappy. Anyway, we all sit down and place out orders. My... More

We stopped here for lunch. We were greeted by friendly staff. We ordered the lobster and the seafood platter, and this was one of our favourite meals we had in Cape Breton. This restaurant is family-friendly, as I brought my 8 month old with us. Price is reasonable and worth it for the delicious meal. Go for the dessert at... More

After eating at the Rusty Anchor for lunch we needed a new place for dinner. So we hopped in our car and drove until we found something. We drove for about 25 minutes from Pleasant Bay with no food in sight. I was about ready to turn around when we came across Angie's. I had a cup of the seafood... More

We stopped by and got take out for our Room at the Markland. Had the broiled haddock. Mmmmm. Mmmmm 👍 This Resturant is only about one mile from the Markland Cottages. Limited seating. They do have beer and soda for the thirsty.
