Food was mediocre. Service was unbelievably slow. The 2 owners? managers? spent their time in the dining room when it would have been better spent in the kitchen helping with food service. We spent our days in the car and on foot viewing the beauty of Cape Breton and regrettably just chose this restaurant each night as it was closest... More

This restaurant has been consistently good for a number of years and offers good service along with good local food - and the view is hard to beat.

Great lobster dinners here. In a nice location close to sonic walks and shopping. For lobster suppers this is a great choice.

We spent two nights right beside Lobster Alley at St Anns Motel and wish we had enjoyed dinner there as planned. Twice we had reservations and both times, we found ourselves too far from the restaurant after exploring the Cabot Trail. The staff at Lobster Alley were friendly enough to make our reservations and even handed us a menu that... More

Perhaps our mistake was going to a lobster shack and not getting lobster or seafood. So take this review with that in mind. We had a lakeside table at sunset, and it was a gorgeous view. Go a little early so you can have a table by the windows. An earlier review here raved about the burger they got, so... More

Brenda was a little stiff initially then wow things blossomed and i had a great 2 pound lobster meal with Shiraz. That rum cake desert is a real fund too. Thanks to Brenda and The Lobster Galley. Hope to see you again, eh?

Friendly staff, great service, wonderful seaside views and mouth-watering food! Homemade Caesar dressing on the salad is extra tasty. Of course, you have to try to chowder! Enjoyed it so much that we went two nights in a row! Met the owner, Jeanine, who was very personable and genuine. Great business and location as you are entering or leaving the... More

My friends and I visited this restaurant in mid-July for an evening meal. We started with an appetizer of mussels and enjoyed salmon or pan-fried haddock or fish and chips. All were excellent as well as the home made desserts of cheesecake and the specialty rum cake. The restaurant is clean, reasonably priced with friendly service and the view at sunset is... Great place to stop as you start the Cabot Trail Loop. The food is very good and the view over the water is beautiful. A little pricey but not outrageous. We didn't try the lobster but the platter with the scallops, mussels, haddock and clams was great.

This is not fine dining, it is good dining. A great location, friendly staff and with good food it ticks all the boxes. We sought refuge there from a disappointing experience where we were staying and it didn't take long for Kathy, our server, to lift our spirits. The food was good value for the money and the setting next... More
