Norseman Gallery resturant is an exceptional great resturant that you do not expect to find in a rural area. I have eaten there about 10 times and each time I have thoroughly enjoyed my meal. There have a unique menu that serves non traditional food.

As part of our package with the Grenfell Historical Porperties, we received coupons for a meal at the Norseman Restaurant. This was our most memorable meal while visiting the Western coast and Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland. It is truly a gem. I had local mussels that were delicious. The restaurnat also houses a small bookstore and art gallery. I bought... More

What a find at the end of a long day. The owner was wonderful. Spent time with each table making each feel that they were the only ones in the restaurant. The dinner was delicious, the drinks were a once in a life- time experience. Local berries, real iceberg ice! Where else could you get that? The owner wrote a... More

Spending two weeks driving across Newfoundland in our RV we found (though many have discovered before us) this wonderful, intimate, friendly setting to enjoy a fantastic meal of local caught crab. Good wine selection. Chances are the owner will seat you, take your order and serve you. We dined while watching a glorious sunset off the northwest coast of Newfoundland.... More

We went after visiting the Parks Canada Site and the short drive was well worth it. With a view of the ocean, the charm and grace of the owner and the delicious food, not much more I can say. I should mention that the owner is a very talented author and when we bought one of her books she graciously... More

We had such a delicious meal at this restaurant. It was close to the season ending so we were lucky to be able to enjoy this spot. The staff were very friendly and shared some of their own experiences living in this remote area. It was dark so we didn't experience the view that would be there in the daylight.

We made reservations for 6:30 for dinner and upon arriving we were advised that they were out of duck and crispy chicken. That left cod and snow crab but after eating some delicious seafood for 14 days we were looking for something different. Ended up ordering 2 appitizers and a order of fried cod. The appitizers were good but we... More

So Sorry, we closed the day after you were here. Out Menu usually gets very limited by end of season. The cod was brought in by the fisherman that day so it should have been very fresh! Pan Fried cod with scrunchions with asparagus, grilled red pepper , snow peas, quinoa with sweet potatoe roasted in maple syrup is only... More

Description
We focus on organic , fresh and local cuisine.. nothing processed. We have vegetarian choices like butternut squash , sweet potato with fresh ginger, roasted root vegetable, wild mushroom and others, salad made with arugula and kale, stir fry's, pastas, etc. We serve everything from local (mussels ,snow crab, lobster, cod fish, scallops, shrimp, halibut, mackerel, capelin, calamari, etc) .Local lamb, Fresh chicken with bone in and skin on., grade A tenderloin beef, pork and so many more choices. We use the local berries that ground in the area for the desserts. We only open from Late May until Mid September because that is when the food we serve is Fresh and available. We prefer not to open after later because it would compromise the quality of what we are trying to achieve and prefer not to serve over process chemically altered food.
