the Maine Welcome Center suggested we try Carman's for a late lunch. We ordered hamburgers and fries and both were delicious. This diner obviously has a following because on our return trip it was packed at lunch time.

Went in; looked around -left. Did not stay for dinner as the place was a cold and noisy bar/restaurant.

Great experience in a true old style diner. Huge variety of food and it all seemed good. Individual juke boxes in each booth or table with 50's, 60's music. We had lobster fools and fish and both were great. Hot sandwiches were also terrific. Great...More
