We loved this inn. Brenda was warm and inviting. We had hot coffee and a selection of breads, croissants and out of the oven scones or muffins, fresh fruit, yoghurt cereals etc. There are 6 rooms with several bathrooms. Our Room was very comfortable and so quiet. There is great whale watching from one of the wharfs which was a... More

This is no longer a restaurant, although it has a superb deck overlooking the harbour. All you can get there is soft drinks, not even alcohol...It's a real pity as it would be a superb location for a great restaurant!

The staff was very small, wait times were long but the food was really good. We at least had a great view of the beach while we waited. They could use better management of the outdoor patio and more umbrellas

We stayed in this B&B in Sept. after it had closed its restaurant to the public, so they served breakfast only to their overnight guests. Brenda greeted us warmly to show us to our comfortable room upstairs and again in the morning to cook to order our eggs with full breakfast, muffins, etc. Our room had windows overlooking Seal Cove,... Lunch options are limited on Grand Manan so were were happy to find McLaughlin's serving lunch (only until 2:00.) Both of us had the seafood chowder and lobster roll which were very good. The coconut cream pie was FANTASTIC. We really enjoyed our lunch - the setting and the food made it a memorable experience.

We had a wonderful little lunch here before our hike on Seal Cove Beach and the old ruins of The Herring houses. We had the special...shaved beef on homemade chiabatta bread and fresh Tomato Basil Soup...all wonderful and reasonable. it faces the small cove of fish houses. A very NEAT SPOT.....Top it up with a glass of vino.

Not much to choose from as far as places to eat but went on TA and found McLaughlin's. Three of us had the soup and sandwich combo and one had the scallop salad. Food was good but then we ordered two pieces of pie to share - coconut cream and lemon meringue. I'm a big fan of coconut cream pie... More
